Game Week 14, 2024- Texas v Georgia SEC Championship Game

I've actually seen several aggy Homers somehow claim "Victory" over Texas on signing day based solely on the trenches.  Like it must be a copy point or soemthing.

Usual aggy game of telephone.  A dimwit concern trolled with the fact 7/9 of the top rated recruits were skill players and aggy coupled that with the fact Fasusi chose OU. Of course, the later Terry addition at DL is conveniently ignored. It's been about an hour since I last wandered into the abyss of aggy so I assume it is now verified fact they signed the better "overall" class and Texas will struggle to field an OL and DL next season. And poor dumb Sark just keeps chasing 5 stars while Elko is smart enough to know they just don't fit the aggy culture.

Slippery athlete with great lateral movement and eye discipline. Quick thinker and finishes strongly at the point of contact. A take, IMO.

Can you imagine that group chat with Lane just talking non-stop shit. There is your premise for the next SEC Shorts.

‘Twas the night before the SEC Championship, and all through the South,
Not a Longhorn was silent, burnt orange pouring from their mouth.
The banners were hung in Atlanta with care,
In hopes that a trophy soon would be there.

The Aggies were nestled, alone in their beds,
While dreams of “next year” danced in their heads.
Since joining the SEC, they’d tried every way,
But still found themselves at home on game day.

When out on the field, there arose such a clatter,
The Longhorns stormed in—it was their moment that mattered!
Away to the stadium, we flew like a flash,
Hook ’Em signs glowing, a sea of burnt sash.

The moon on the helmets of freshly cut grass,
Showed the Longhorns were here to kick some SEC… class.
When what to our wondering eyes should appear,
But Bevo himself, with a championship near!

With a swagger and grit, so proud and so quick,
We knew in that moment this wasn’t a trick.
More rapid than touchdowns, our victory came,
And we whistled and shouted and called them by name:

“Now Ewers! Now Manning! Now Bond, and Brooks!
On, defense! On, O-line! Let’s rewrite the books!
To the top of the conference, to the heights of it all,
Now dash away, dash away, dash away y’all!”

And down on the sideline, ol’ Aggie did stare,
With a tear in their eye and a defeated glare.
“First year in the SEC, and they’re already there?”
Their maroon hopes dashed, like they never could dare.

The Longhorns played like legends, their legacy grew,
While Aggies were stuck still chanting “Whoop!” with no clue.
For a dozen long seasons, they’d tried and they’d fought,
But the SEC promised more than it brought.

Then Bevo exclaimed, as we took home the crown,
“Hook ’Em, y’all! We own this town!
So enjoy your oil money and second-rate fame,
While Texas keeps winning championship games!”

And as the Longhorns rode off in the SEC night,
Aggie muttered to themselves, “Well… at least we’re polite.”

Kirby's? Could be his sister Kendall or Karl, his brother.

I still have my Ricky Williams #11 Reebok Jersey that I bought from the co-op that year.  Its served well because we’ve had a lot of badass #11’s throughout the years!IMG_6564.thumb.jpeg.ba330bdfaabe36da7eb48de2083e28ba.jpeg

I tend to agree.  Getting slightly aggy about this topic.   Looking at pics I don't see a ton of space which shouldn't be surprising with newly designed stadiums maximizing prime seating.  Going to be a shitload of press etc. utilizing space outside of team area.  It's not Georgia or SEC sticking it to us.  Give me a break.

if the stadium can host a regulation fifa pitch it has room for our steer

His Bob Dylan biopic comes out this month. Searchlight is Disney. Disney owns ESPN

searchlight = disney = eSiPn = he's picking Texas

I almost got a haircut Friday, but then I changed my mind.  I'm not cutting it until the season is over.  Some kid is gonna get a full wig out of my mop.

Speaking as someone who has season tickets to Mercedes-Benz Stadium (futbol, not football) I have to grudgingly admit there really is not a lot of room around the field.

fifa pitch width: 74 yards

football field width: 54 yards

despite the seat rows which expand 10 yards on both sidelines the can find a space for him in one of the tunnels - the anus has 4 tunnels at field level

bullshit excuse remains

I bought the dip. Let Disney fly.

if he is wrong, lets grill that fucker. I know some Inuit.

Closer this game gets the more I feel like we'll need to go with QB run game to win this one. Georgia just struggles with it so much, and our running QB is the best deep ball thrower on the team, which Georgia also struggles with. It's like Georgia is tailor made to stop our starter, but our backup is the kind of QB that kills them.

Hopefully not and Sark can scheme Quinn up enough to win. Then hopefully Quinn actually sees it and throws the damn ball when it's there.
