The sound is so much different with as little as a 9mm. It’s such a different feeling. That said, there are videos of other public shootings where the person is just as calm without a suppressor and without being a pro. Edited December 5, 20241 yr by Da Fino

Very little special forces training involves prepping to gun people down on city streets and flee via bicycle. When Mossad whacks people in places where they really don’t want to get caught they use teams of a dozen people with fake passports, governments solve things with lots of people and lots of money. There is not a stable of super badass former MI6 assassins out there waiting for clients to buzz their encrypted phones. Consulting pays so much more and you don’t go to jail. Contract killers are just criminals who don’t have other options and usually get caught. Edited December 5, 20241 yr by 956 Worldwide

He tilts it and racks it every time he shoots it. Could be failure to cycle an autoloader based on using subsonic rounds, but the racking motion would generally be different. I think that Brian got it right earlier. We'll find out eventually. Also, most SA pistols would have more effective extractors than what is apparently provided with the B&T. No need to tilt.

I don't wish anyone harm, but there is no economic argument for United Healthcare to exist and propagate their negative externalities on Americans. Private health insurance serves no productive economic function, and merely acts as a rent-seeking middleman that reduces efficiency and raises costs in the healthcare system. 1. Cost containment: private insurance does not contain healthcare costs, but rather makes them worse due to the overhead and profit-taking by insurance companies, as well as their ability to negotiate higher prices from providers. 2. Coverage expansion: private insurance does not expand healthcare coverage, but may actually restrict it due to insurers' incentives to enroll lower-risk, more profitable customers while avoiding higher-risk, costlier ones. 3. Access to care: private insurance does not expedite care, but rather slows it down as a result of the administrative burden and approval processes required by insurers, as well as their ability to restrict access to certain providers or treatments. From an economic perspective, private health insurance fails to provide the kind of market-based efficiencies and benefits that could justify its existence. Instead, it suggests the insurance industry acts as a parasitic rent-seeker, extracting profits without adding commersurate value. Probably not for this thread, but if you could graph “societal decay” and “sociopaths in leadership positions” over time, I am pretty sure you would have two mirrored parallel curves up and to the right. C-suite execs, politicians, mega-church pastors. In far-too-many orgs, the Patrick Bateman’s are celebrated and elevated. They get shit done without concern for ethics or morality and rise to the top.

I briefly worked for Humana as a programmer a really long time ago and a guy I went to high school with was working there on the business side. One day we were supposed to go to lunch together and I had to wait a little over an hour for him to get out of a meeting. As we were driving to lunch he explained he was sitting on a panel because some old man was challenging Humana's denial of his wife's heart surgery. This dude casually said "we denied her coverage" then explained the costs of covering her and the loopholes for denying the coverage. The whole time this was me thinking I was sitting next to a sociopath at lunch.

I do not wish violence or death upon people, but this man enriched himself at the expense of millions of Americans. Millions of people whose lives and those of their loved ones were forever altered by UHC and their ilk not stepping up to help those in their time of need because profit mattered more. I think the best way to treat this man’s death is to just ignore that he ever existed and if they ever find the culprit, well, fine. If not, well, that’s fine too. I’d have NYPD spend the same amount of time investigating this as they would a street mugging.
