2024 SEC Championship Game: Texas vs. Georgia - 3pm on ABC

We’ll find out. Other teams are bad too. Hope we don’t play Georgia again.

The silver lining is there is no LSU 2019 or Alabama 2020 offense or Georgia 21/22 defense out there so everyone is beatable, but just worrying about our own house we're bad in areas we can't be bad (HC, OC, QB, special teams). Our defense can win us games, but three in a row against good to very good teams? Sark and Ewers gotta carry their weight.

Bummer but host a playoff game isn’t that bad a deal.

And while most everything has been addressed, Auburn sucks and so does the punting game.  It's glaring and has been all season, but counts more now.  Especially since it hasn't been addressed.  If the backup blows, get two others.

Special teams lost the game. Ewers wasn’t great, play calling was questionable but mostly pretty good. Punting was and has been awful, and Auburn was and has been awful. Make one of two very makeable fgs and the game is over. I’d leave Auburn in Atlanta

Arch at QB improves those rushing numbers through his runs as well as opening things up for Wisner due to threat of Arch run.

Aggie like fantasies are nice. Georgia just owned the LOS, again.

I know Banks is valued by Sark but ST has sucked ass all year. Every dimension has been sub par: KO returns to FG. Just poor performance across board.

We all said ST was gonna cost us a game.

Sucks.

Why Sark use Arch in Red Zone against aggy but not Georgia?

Because he goes full retard at the most crucial times. I wish Saban would take an analyst job with us so he tell Sark that his play calling is absolute shit when it matters most

I just.gotts keep breathing and remembering that we're stacking classes and it will pay off, and we made the SEC CCG in year one. New QB next year who can run, with all kinds of toys around him

Fake punt convert was turning point in game.  Why was Texas so unprepared for something so predictable?

They were setting up a big return. Not really a situation where a team fakes it.

Well then I wish him the best at whichever school he transfers to

Yep. He gonna portal.

He’s not gonna get drafted and it’s time for Arch.

Lots of idiots on this board.  Saw Quinn hit Golden in the hands for a TD which he dropped.  Saw him throw Gunner for a TD where he ran a bad route and we got called for holding.  Say Bond quit on a play that caused an interception.  Saw Moore drop 2 passes that hit him in the hands.  OL gave up too many sacks, too many holds.  Special teams missed two 40 yard FGs.  Special teams gave up a fake punt.  Defense played lights out but let a back up QB drive on us.   I also say Quinn throw dimes to get us out of 3rd and long multiple times.  Quinn played well enough for us to win considering the dude has a bum ankle.  The reality is that we could not finish drives and if we make even 1 of the 2 missed FGs, we win this game.

Shit like this is so fucking stupid. Starting QBs in college have such a massive impact on the game. We scored 16 points in regulation with one TD and you're making excuses for a dude playing with 4 and 5 star talent at every position on offense.

He turned the ball over twice. He took a bunch of shitty sacks. He missed multiple TD throws.

Just stop with this man. He isn't what the standard should be and we need to move on.

Lots of excuses that ignore why we can’t finish drives.

We are the Dallas cowboys with Mike Mcarthy. Face it

I was more perplexed that we used Arch at the 25 yard line but never inside the 15 yard line. Ewers should never take a snap inside the 15.

Be interesting to see what Sark says.  I’m sure he will be asked.

Their 2nd team QB was better than ours.  He only got to play a half.  Ours played the whole game.

Sark is an elite play designer.  As a play caller, in big moments, meh.  Bobo schooled him down the stretch in this one.

Nope, which is why I'm over this game already.

Still would have been nice to win the SEC championship in year one.

It’s easier to call plays when the Oline blocks fellas.

Bullshit. Call quick plays instead of slow developing plays and that helps your O line

Sark did nothing in OT

Lol, every sack is on Ewers yea?

No but at least half of them were.

Not sure which game you were watching, but UGA knew Quinn has nearly no mobility and sent their linebackers up every other down

Somehow I feel less devastated than I would imagine.  SEC exposed for reffing like the big12 for the entire game.   Ewers totally exposed.   Someone more educated than I am tell me, was the slant really open the entire game? And we threw it one time?
The unit I am most disappointed in is the OL.  I really thought they would show up better than they did.
With a decent kicker we win.  With some luck on the Georgia fumbles they recovered we win.
So Georgia has two weeks off to hear how great they are?  I wouldn't be surprised to see them lose their next game.  We still have a small chance to see them one more time, in the NC game.

Ewers wasn't exposed. This is who he's been for 3 years now. We pretty much saw a microcosm of how the Washington game ended.

Sark's 1st down call on the 14 killed all momentum. A triple deke fake? With a QB who couldn't avoid pressure of a middle school team? Dumb.

Brought Arch in. Immediate big gain in OT. Back to the bench he goes and immediately terrible play from Quinn.

No reason to expect Escapability as a skill shown by every qb heisman winner since sam branford in 2008

This offense in the second half hasn’t scored shit in weeks

He literally wasn’t

Tbh, Texas wins this game in regulation with BIG, ACC or any other conferences’ officials.

Bert missing 2 FGs, and Guilbeau celebrating Barron's INT instead of trying to block the TE took points off the board.

We need to come to a realization or maybe it’s just me that our offense is above average

I’m not sure it is above average.  Shit plays cancelling out really good plays to make it average at best.

This is what everyone has been doing all season.

It's why those crossing routes over the middle of the field are so open.

All show during the shit season and no go when you playa. Real team. Our offense is so pedestrian

This game is the reason why people were bitching about the offense all season. People telling everyone to shut the fuck up and enjoy the Arkansas win are the only ones who are dumbfounded why the offense sucked today. It’s time to move on from Quinn.

1st and 10 on the 14 with 40 seconds left and he calls some triple deke bullshit that results in a sack. That’s on the head coach/OC

Amen. for all his vaunted play calling, I don't understand why he fails to read the situation and call something that doesn't have a higher probability of the defense making a play. we don't have any plays that can push the ball forward without needing a mini soap opera to unfold in the backfield?

4 minutes ago, Dark Horse said:

No, the slant was not open all game. That’s what message board users say all game for all teams.

I mean the one we completed in overtime was absolutely blanketed and required a perfect throw and catch.

Better version

We're going to have to replace most of our oline next year and somehow I'm fine with that

Nah it's over. We aren't winning shit with Ewers. We played one legit team all season and they beat us twice.

Yep

Defense will keep us in games, but playing offense is pretty tough without a QB.

Cool that we are recruiting at an elite level and the future looks so bright though.

Just going to have a to wait another year, wish u was wrong.

He’s actually an excellent playcaller

Just not good at picking the starting QB, the most important position on the fucking offense.

Running sideline to sideline was a complete failure of a gameplan.

It's also why they've struggled against mobile QBs all year

SMU turned it over already.  Clemson winning is most likely path to Texas drawing Bama RD1

We would whip Bama's ass. Not worried.
