2024 SEC Championship Game: Texas vs. Georgia - 3pm on ABC

So you think we would whip bamas ass? After what you saw tonight or the last 3 weeks. 1 TD in a game and a half and you’re saying we would whip bamas ass?

You mean the team who scored 3 points against Oklahoma just two weeks ago?

The revisionist history on Ehlinger is fucking wild. The only man that could possibly reverse spin slower than QE or fumble at a more inopportune time

Honestly it just wasn’t our day, we just need 2-3 things to go differently.

if we stop the 4th down punt call

recovery 1 of two fumbles

make one of the 2 FG’s

My biggest fear is I hope this doesn’t become an Alabama/Georgia thing, where no matter what Bama has mind control over Georgia even on the or best years when they play.

Sam's aggressiveness alone would have made the difference in the two GA games.

Probably would've trucked a couple of Georgia DBs as well.

Sam would have killed both QBs and their defense. He was unstoppable.

In a sense it’s fine, we probably outplayed them, but in another sense it’s a fucking disaster and we’re not winning four games with Quinn at QB. I don’t even know if Arch is actually better right now, but I am 100% confident that we do not win a national championship with that wet blanket starting.

We are going to waste the best defense in Texas football history

I've seen games like this too many times. We needed 2 or 3 things to go right and we win, we needed 20 things to go wrong and we lose. Tonight the 20 things happened. I ducking fucking hate that sometimes the football gods just say nope, not today. I'm usually past getting really upset about losing. This one passed me off.

We only needed 8 things to be fair and they weren't.

After vibrating through several walls in anger, I don’t know what to do with my hands

He’s been a pussy all season. A walk ain’t curing it. Shit’s terminal.

Arch, over time (middle of next season will be much, much better /no aggy). Quinn is constantly injured, isn't big enough to take hits. Arch is 6'4 235 and can take punishment. He's also been groomed by 2 HOF uncles and grandfather. He's basically a machine.

I’ve thought all year that our kicker and ST play was going to limit our achievement and that was the big difference tonight.  Hard to win close games without reliable ST play.  I’m surprised because that was an area that got us back to being competitive the last couple years.

we also can’t run the ball well against GA and we lost the turnover battle. Not a recipe for winning….

It’s not Sarks fault Quinn cannot handle a single drop of pressure.

It is Sarks fault for leaving him in

Tired of watching this team under achieve because Sark refuses to get Manning reps and have him take over.

It was a terrible play design. Check out.

It's a good thing I quit breaking things over Longhorn football about 20 years ago.

Is it wasted if that’s the reason we’re good?

JFC folks.

Smart is a whining choade and ground the officials to dust.

Officials had their thumbs on the scale the entire time.

SEC is corrupt.

We win this game by 3 scores if the “G” is not on their helmet.

We have to play Georgia in playoffs.... We just have to

I mean, if they're the 2 and we're the 7, and we hold serve in a home playoff game first, then we are Georgia's next game.  Again.

Yes

We’ll find out. Other teams are bad too. Hope we don’t play Georgia again.

Hell, I do…..3rd time’s a charm…..pretty sure they don’t want to play us.

No one will care about this game, if we go out and win it all, so let's just do that.

I will.

We are ripping on the Georgia backup QB, but 95% of the time a QB would fumble that ball after a hit like that at the 5 yard line.

of course GA would have recovered it any way knowing our luck. (or SEC booth would have ruled it targeting if we had recovered it)

That backup QB played well. Just another example of how deep and talented Georgia is. And while Kirby is a whiny bitchass on the sidelines, he's a good gameday coach otherwise.

Yep just not our night.  GA had all the breaks.  It happens.  Thankfully the season is not over

In the first half, there was a tipped ball that, I think, Makuba had a chance to intercept.  He also had all kinds of room in front of him.  I don't blame whoever was recovering the receiver that broke up the INT, but, on a tipped pass, throw the fucker to the ground.

I will never again say this.

1st half was set.

Anyone with any game saw it in Q1.

I accept it

Bert still shoulda aimed inside right. He misses left except for one push (last week?)

He missed way wide right on our first Michigan drive. Seemed problematic at the moment...but few cared for long, because we then rolled. I cared then because I feared it was a sign of kicking trouble to come.

Serious question:

Are the playoff refs still conference crews?  Or are they mixed and matched?

I'd love to play UGA with straight officiating at a neutral site.

Could’ve been the game right there :((

The only other UGA player in the picture is falling down. Barron could have walked into the end zone.

20 points against Arkansas, 17 against aggy, 19 in OT against UGA.... At this point you are who you are. We'd be better with a switch at a certain position but I'm not paid $10 million a year to make that call.

They had their own five star back up.

Georgia has been dominating for years. We might just not be on their level yet.

But damn it feels like we can beat them. We just keep tripping over our dicks.

Maybe we will get a third shot at them.

Fatwa activated.

Good luck.

Negative, just drunk and pissed.

The main reason this sucks is that it was never going to be easier than this year.

This is arguably the best defense in Texas history and we pissed away a great opportunity.

Offense may be better next year but this is two years of an amazing D we've not capitalized on.

Shit like this is so fucking stupid. Starting QBs in college have such a massive impact on the game. We scored 16 points in regulation with one TD and you're making excuses for a dude playing with 4 and 5 star talent at every position on offense.

He turned the ball over twice. He took a bunch of shitty sacks. He missed multiple TD throws.

Just stop with this man. He isn't what the standard should be and we need to move on.

Hey bitch, I’ve seen my fair share of shitty QB okay.  That first interception was on Bond.  Go watch the play.  What is Quinn supposed to do when when the quits the route and loses sight of the balls. What about the dime he threw to Golden that hit his hands that he dropped?  Was that his fault too?  That 7 right there.  What about the 6 points Auburn cost us?  What about the 7 sacks?  Did he cause Jake Majors and Devon Campbell to get beat repeatedly.  How about the 30ish yards we had rushing?  Was that his fault too?  We played Georgia, probably the most talented roster in college football.  A team that matches very well with us.  We played on the road with our LT out.  Quinn is 24-4 as a starter.  Does he have flaws?  Ofcourse.  Is he the reason we lost this game, not even fucking close.  Did you start watching Texas football last year?  Bc I’ve seen this team win national championships and I’ve seen that lose to fucking Kansas.  I know a shit QB when I see one which Quinn is far from.  The team that won with a “projected” 1st round QB played an absolutely horrible game.  Have some fucking perspective, go smoke a joint, and enjoy this season.  We’re about to host a game in the playoffs and there is maybe 1 team that is a bad match up for us.  Don’t be a bitch.

Defense will still be salty next year and we get Arch and CJ.

We're gonna fuck everybody up, some of them twice.

Sark does not have the balls to do what DKR did in 1968.

Bench the starting QB who could not run the wishbone.

Put in the backup QB who could run it. Win 30 straight games and two MNC.

So, Royal did not dance with them who brung him?

Dude, the season isn't over.  And we won't have SEC officials fucking things up for us from here on out.  B12 officials can certainly get their marching orders.... and we better hope they are not allowed to officiate a third game against these cunts.

Georgia is the natural SEC rival for Texas.

Sark keeping Quinn out there wet noodling throws, being lackadaisical, and crumbling under the slightest pressure is wild to me. Not even having a package for Arch is also confusing.

Someone remind me, when Trevor Lawrence took over as a freshman at Clemson was it due to a benching?
