December 8, 20241 yr If we're making predictions, put me in the camp that says Georgia is losing before the final, so we are done with them. I have been back and forth on this and it's just too much for GA at this point. They played what 7 overtimes last week, another one this week, and the high they are on is out-of-sight. They are going to hear how great they are for four+ weeks? They are coming down like a rock.

December 8, 20241 yr lol they have us by 14 over Clemson already 3-6 record against the line since conference play started. But yea, 14 is a truckload but outright win the game and not in Vegas is fine with me.

They are having to scramble. But BYU didn't play Colorado this year and have, in fact, never played a conference game against each other ever. So hardly a normal same conference situation.

December 8, 20241 yr People have already pointed out that Alabama discussing out of conference scheduling is ridiculous since their three losses were in conference. Another thing that needs to be said is, Alabama was ranked 11 in spite of 3 losses because they did have a difficult schedule. They were the highest ranked 3 loss team and were ranked higher than several 2 loss teams. Circumstances didn't work out for them with teams outside of their control, but the lesson should be you want a difficult schedule, because if you do have losses the committee will be more forgiving. The committee was willing to rank them higher than teams with fewer losses. Also don't get blown out by a mediocre OU.
December 8, 20241 yr If you play Mercer, Wofford, Murray State etc you should be penalize even if you win. Fuck that shit.

You know what the difference is though? We have the best defense in the country and better players in every other position on the field (except kicker). You better believe Klubnik watched Stockton get absolutely destroyed by Makuba and he will think twice about trying to run the ball.

December 8, 20241 yr You hate to lose the SEC championship game and there is an advantage to getting a bye but I don't think there's any doubt the loss helped us. ASU on a neutral field is a much better draw than any of Tennessee, Ohio State, or Georgia.

And the media always loves to just believe whatever OU's program says about how great their players are.

Similar caliber teams and with SMU we would have to deal with all the in-state/rivalry/little bro bullshit. That would be a huge game for SMU.

But I think ASU had to play a tougher schedule the last month and dismantled everyone including a high octane Colorado and solid Iowa St. I don’t think theyr the 13-15th best team or at least haven’t played like it. Probably closer to the U Scar boogyman. we should beat them, but they have a dominant RB and good team.
