Oregon is overrated. They looked bad last night against a bad PSU team. They might not make it out of the quarters.

Oregon traveled three time zones to take a 28-10 second quarter lead against 11-1 team and played with their food a bit from then on. That's basically Texas's MO on a good day so we probably shouldn't throw stones there.

Not sure the relevance of traveling three time zones. This isnt the 80s. The players are used to traveling frequently.

The trendy pick seems to be ND over UGA. Where is this confidence in ND coming from. They beat nobody and have a loss to NIU.

For me, it's Georgia totting out a backup QB against a strong ND defense, with a pretty nice secondary in particular. That backup didn't exactly light the world on fire against Texas, especially after the emotionally charged first drive, and there will be more tape on him at that point. ND's just got to find 21-24 points there and that could be greatly aided by turnovers.

I still would not be surprised to see UGA get to the championship game because Beck is a JAG and Stockton could also get better with reps. And, you know, it's Georgia.

It certainly didn't make things any easier and they still never trailed was my point. I don't think there's a ton of room to sandbag Oregon right now.

I think OSU will beat them

Know your history Fellas.  I give you ... Clint Longley.

Longley is best remembered for his performance in a Thanksgiving Day game in 1974 against the Washington Redskins. Longley, then a rookie, came into the game for an injured Roger Staubach with the Cowboys trailing 16–3 in the third quarter, and facing elimination from the playoffs. After hitting Billy Joe Dupree for a 35-yard touchdown pass, he led the Cowboys on a 70-yard drive capped by a 1-yard Walt Garrison touchdown run. Finally, with the Cowboys behind 23–17 and with only 28 seconds left with no time outs, Longley hit Drew Pearson at the left sideline for a 50-yard hail mary pass touchdown which gave the Cowboys a dramatic 24–23 come from behind victory.[4][5]

Because Longley had no expectation of playing in that game and was completely unprepared, Cowboys lineman Blaine Nye sarcastically called his winning effort "the triumph of the uncluttered mind."

I refer to it as the "glory of the uncluttered mind" but the concept is still the same.  The Stockton kid was acting on raw emotion and adrenaline.  He did not anticipate being "the man."

Assuming Beck is out the rest of the playoffs, DCs can gameplan to isolate the kid, add complexities to their defense, exotic blitzes...

Jawja is in some significant peril.

Not to mention, anyone that has watched Kern punt knows it’s a vital part of the game. If their punter is out for the playoffs, that’s a big deal.

Just realized I think there is a very good chance that the 4 teams given a bye all lose in the Quarters.

Boise and ASU will be pretty large dogs.

With Beck out I would bet Domers will be favored over GA in the Domers beat Indiana.

Oregon and Ohio State played a 1 point game in Eugene.  That game is a coin flip. You'd expect the bye teams to go 1-3 but 0-4 is a real possibility.

This thread is pointless because The GPT already predicted the winner and score [emoji869]

Other than the fact our offense still doesn't go full beast mode in the final, I'll take it[emoji41][emoji869]

Texas is averaging 21 points a game in regulation the last 4 games

the people that think we are getting 40 points, let alone 30 points against better competition are idiots

I understand this thinking, but we have two weeks off before the first round, then almost two weeks off before the second round.

If we can get Quinn, Bond, and Banks healthy again in that time, or even just Bond, our offense gets a lot better.

I predict we end up playing the Ducks.

I don't think we beat the Ducks.

If the Ducks win, I will be rooting for them over Georgia, ND, or (if there is no God and they make it that far) Pedo.

So let it be written so let it be done.

Anyone else 8-0 right now?
I really really really want to be 11-0 watching Texas beat Domers in ATL.

I missed Grecian Formula Bois eeking out a win.

Still have 3/4 of the final 4, and Texas vs ND in the final.

Sitting on 9-0 right now. If I’d have known I’d be 9-0 at this point in time I’d have picked Ohio state over Domers in the final. Can I change my pick?

Ditto, and feeling good about the last 2.

Why would you change your pick?  Wouldn't you rather go 11-0?
