January 17Jan 17 We're mighty thin there, though. I don't know anything about Niblack's relationship with Sark, but it seems likely he'd get more action next year.

January 17Jan 17 So between WR and TE we bring back only 3 guys who have caught a pass - Wingo, Moore, and Niblett (3).
January 17Jan 17 I remember making fun of someone here last summer who said that Juan Davis would play over Niblack. Oops. Good thing I can’t remember who it was, otherwise I would have to apologize.

Scouting Report. Go to the link if you want to read the entire report. Spoiler Shows very good play speed backed by outstanding track and field profile. Sub-11.00 100-meter speed, including a 10.58 as a sophomore. Also owns a 21.5 200 and very good long jump and triple jump numbers. Dangerous run-after-catch playmaker. Runs with a violent gait but still separates from defenders. Accelerates suddenly and top gear is too fast for almost any opponent he faces.

His lack of reps this year was questionable even in the little garbage time we had. He might have playbook or other issues? January 19Jan 19 Terry might be the answer at TE, but he'll need to gain 15-20 lbs in the next 8 months. Also moving away from TE and using 4 WR sets might be the plan, would make sense with how crowded the WR room is
January 19Jan 19 I'm hoping for the best and preparing for whatever happens. I’ve had multiple shoulder and knee procedures at Carrell Clinic, and I was there in August. Some involved in Baxter’s pre-op and post-op believed his injury was more severe than disclosed, with August 2025 being an optimistic recovery timeline. No one is counting him out, but wouldn’t be surprised if he’s not ready for Ohio State. We’ve probably run into each other. Had my hip repaired there in November.

While several of those guys on the list provide good depth, the only one on that list that really had the potential to break into a starting spot eventually and be a strong contributor is maybe Gullette. Maybe Mitchell but he hadn't shown it so far. Well done.

January 19Jan 19 Terry is a “swiss army” knife with size and speed to be a matchup problem for any defense. Do NOT put him on the LOS as a TE. Move him around, both L/R and in motion.Hook’em!!!

Without inside information, speculation is all we have, but he may yet work his way into the starting rotation. I hope that he does. There's fast, and then there's blazing fast, but maybe he is more dynamic or shifty than Niblett since his name is sometimes mentioned as a potential return guy. They recruited him for a reason. I hope Niblett can refine his game because having two guys that can take the top off the field would be a real asset whether you're going deep or getting the ball to them in space. Also, I thought he got onto the field here more recently for some snaps, but I don't see that in his roster bio. Not sure if I'm misrecalling or if they haven't updated his bio.

Niblett played all over the field this year and got snaps in many games, usually while the game wasn’t out of hand. The staff likes him. Sarkisian, allegedly, is falling in love with the concept of optionality. Winston, Townsend, and Niblett are all variants of that at different sizes and the scatback with two initials for a first name in this 2026 cycle is also being valued in the same way. What that eventually means for the evolution of this offense, if it does evolve at all, is anyone’s guess. 2 hours ago, ATXhorn17 said: Per folks on here, Sark is the actual GM and decision-maker on player personnel… Is BH valuable mostly for his connections in Louisiana/the Southeast? I posted about this on the recruiting board today after getting an earful from two separate and unrelated ends this week about Harris and how he is valued by Sarkisian and maybe not so much by others. Too lazy to go find it or rewrite it, but I offered what I can on it.

No. The vast majority aren't, and yet they're still crazy athletic while playing a violent sport.

He's still running track for uSCe Guys like Harbor and DK Metcalf and the like shouldn't exist
January 20Jan 20 Nyck Harbor is just about in a league of his own. He is a freak athlete among freak athletes. I’ve talked about this a bit in the Recruiting forum but there is definitely a “system” in place and it can be a crap shoot whether or not you are invited in. For just about every player it is a 50/50 prop as to their hit rate in college. We get wrapped up in the 4* and 5* that we forget that they are all pretty much 50/50. That being said, Lil’ Nigel (5’ 11 3/4” 170 lbs) ran 10.4 in high school, owns basically every receiving record at his 50+ year old 6A Houston high school, was 1st team all district for 3 years in football (18 offers), 2 time all district in baseball (5 offers), and district champ in LJ (24’), 100m, and 200m. He was basically ignored by several of the writers people follow on here. He even wrote a couple of them asking if they could actually rate him, but he couldn’t even get that. I had one of these guys joked with me about telling one of his crew not to bother sending him video of defensive ends if they were white. So, yeah, I get tickled when fans give immediate credence to the services like they are the experts. What the schools want more than anything are mature bodies that are ready to play now. We see most of these kids and we joke that they look like they are 30 years old, yep, that is what schools want.
January 20Jan 20 If Sark is a guru offensive mind like we all think he is, he’ll be able to find a fit for someone like Terry. I more so see him in a role like Kyle Pitts was used at Florida, and now with the Falcons. Idk if anyone has mentioned that but that would be an ideal fit for me

I'm curious what sport(s) he ended up doing in college, and where did he go (if you care to disclose)? 10.4 sec 100 m is a high D1 T&F number, and would be close to medaling in the SEC.

This position group is even more unproven and inexperienced than the TE group at the start of the '24 season, which is saying something. Fingers crossed that someone like Washington can step up and be something of a revelation like Helm was this past season, but at this point we really don't know if any of these guys will be able to perform (esp. in terms of run blocking) at an acceptable level.
