March 22Mar 22 Very few athetes have gone from despised to loved the way George Foreman did. RIP to one of the greats that made boxing such a big part of my early sports watching life. Edited March 22Mar 22 by Hate
March 22Mar 22 I went to middle school with one of his daughters so this hits close to (my former) home. I met him a handful of times, and he was always as nice, light hearted, and joking as he came off in his grill infomercials. RIP champ.
March 22Mar 22 Was he sick before, said he was surrounded by family so it sounds like it and you don’t usually die from natural causes at 76. Rip George, I still use my Forman as a sandwich press and for burgers sometimes.

March 23Mar 23 Watching highlights of George Foreman is one of my longtime favorite activities. I’ve posted his gold medal round against some dirty commie before, which is awesome. But big bald later career Foreman is awesome in a different way. His whole attitude every fight is “like I give a single fuck about any of the punches you’re throwing.” Walks into them. Doesn’t feel them. And just delivers haymaker after haymaker. All entertaining. If you want one that is particularly amusing, the reset at the 6:00 mark here is great. Dude is out on his feet, George casually strolls up, delivers an uppercut that would kill every person in this board.

Ken Lakusta Steven Wright The interesting thing about Ken Lakusta is he is suppose to be 6'1.5" while Foreman is 6'4". Foreman looks so much larger. Edited March 23Mar 23 by Bevo
March 24Mar 24 Bill Mercer has died at 99. Most know him as the voice of World Class Wrestling in DFW, but he had a huge impact on sports radio teaching at North Texas. The list of careers he impacted is long and distinguished. Edited March 24Mar 24 by RPM

Quote Officers were dispatched to the 200 block of William Nye Drive in southeast Atlanta after reports of gunfire and a woman being dragged into a residence. What they're saying: "When officers arrived, they knocked on the door and a male opened the door and immediately shut the door on the officers," said Lt. Andrew Smith, commander of Atlanta’s homicide unit. Police then set up a perimeter around the home. As officers surrounded the area, two men fled from the back of the residence. One of them returned to the house. The other man jumped two fences before being found injured nearby. "He appeared to have suffered an injury to his leg," Smith said. "Officers rendered aid and he was transported to Grady Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased." https://www.fox4news.com/news/39-year-old-dies-running-from-police-southeast-atlanta-police-say
