July 4Jul 4 Yeah, the dude goes to go MotoGP races all the time. Was in the Ducati garage last weekend.
July 5Jul 5 Author Max is truly an incredible driver to somehow get THAT car on the front row at Silverstone ahead of the McLarens and Lewis.
July 5Jul 5 And it doesn’t have great traction in the corners because they lessened the downforce for more speed.

July 6Jul 6 Somebody always gambles and makes the switch too early. I expect the start will be a shitshow. Edited July 6Jul 6 by kevwun
July 6Jul 6 Last year in the wet/dry/wet/dry made for a great race, so hopefully we get the same today.
July 6Jul 6 Those teams that went to slicks pre-race screwed up. All the early yellows take away any advantage before more rain moves in.
July 6Jul 6 Piastri might get a penalty for slowing down too much before the restart. Edited July 6Jul 6 by kevwun

July 6Jul 6 Lewis must have gone off to be 7 seconds behind Hulk. He was 2 seconds behind before they both pitted.
July 6Jul 6 I think the most damning look of what Piastri did was from the Safety Car. I agree it could be a bit harsh but under those terrible conditions I think it was justified. Great race by Niko Hulk. That team is really doing some things correctly, especially behind the scenes. Mercedes, wow. Just wow. Yuki can't make it to the end of the season? For Max to drive such a shit car to where he finished was awesome. Well done by Aston as well. We give Lance a ton of shit but, he did well today. Well done by Gasly too. I was hoping Bearman would get 10th. Pretty decent day for Williams as well.

So happy for Nico! I did kinda want to see HAM on podium for a 13th straight time at Silverstone, but good for Nico and Sauber. Pretty funny that it was only rookies retiring today, especially w/ all the opportunities.
July 6Jul 6 They had the telemetry from his car, so they had a good idea if it was enough to be considered erratic. He also did the same thing on an earlier restart. Edited July 6Jul 6 by kevwun

Hell, let them know what laps the "rain" might come along with a forecast intensity. Obviously just for fun talk because of safety but damn it's always more fun in mixed conditions. Hulk on the podium from 19th (last on the grid itself) and, what, 8 teams scored points? That was as entertaining as F1 gets for the last couple of decades.
July 6Jul 6 Author Everyone seems to say Hulk is a great dude. Couldn't be happier for him. Congratulations!

He has done it in other races... It has two purposes (that I'm aware of) creating a "shockwave" before you leave (affects cars 3 through N more than car 2) and taking some temp off everyone's tires (which I think has less value, since the leader also loses temp) making it take longer for tires to come in. I also think Oscar just likes fucking with Max...it seems to work to get Max in his feels. This time Oscar went to far. It looked like he stalled the car.
July 6Jul 6 Jesus Mercedes, stop hanging out with Ferrari Congrats to Hulk, Sauber team looks happier than McLaren
July 7Jul 7 Oscar is soooo much better a driver than Lando, but a dumb arse move to break that hard. As mentioned above, he very much loves to fuck with Max and that is one reason why he is better than Lando, Oscar isn't scared of Max, and he is more competitive and a crafty sob. I do agree that he had done similar things with the prior safety car and if there was no warning then the 10 second penalty was damn steep because you caused him the win. Understand he needs to be penalized, but you have drivers such as Ochon and the Divine Wind who wreck people out on a regular basis and do it every fucking race. Not sure if Lando is the bigger Wanker than Zach Brown is a bigger miserable douche', maybe both, but if Oscar wasn't at McLaren they might be the most unlikeable top team in some time. At least with RB and Max and Lewis and Merc you felt like they deserved the wins.
