December 9Dec 9 7 weeks until the first 2026 testing session. Somebody start the new thread. Done!Hadn’t created a thread in years…

It will be good for Mekies and the team. He can focus on the new car without having to worry about anyone undermining him. Edited December 9Dec 9 by kevwun
December 11Dec 11 neat graph from BBC that illustrates how much of F1 is truly a constructors battle than a driver battl that said, the scale of the graph kinda exaggerates the point by compressing the teammate differences

It's not like he can just jettison Nelson into the sun. But Marko? Maybe he could do something about him. Or maybe that was call from someone higher up the food chain in the Red Bull ecosystem.

I do think the decsion most likely came from the Yoovidhya ownership side of the business now that Dietrach is gone.
December 14Dec 14 So I did a relatively bad job at following the season once again this year. According to the races that are still on my DVR, I have started but not finished the following: Japan, Spain, Hungary, US/COTA, and Vegas. I haven't begun watching the following: Britain, Belgium (race and sprint), Italy, Brazil (race and sprint), and Abu Dhabi. I imagine it's realistic for me to maybe get to half of them before next season. Which ones should I keep and try to watch? Which ones should I delete? For whatever it's worth, I don't have any hard and fast rooting interest (fuck Max, though I dislike him slightly less than I used to), and I most enjoy the races that are chaotic shitshows (that British GP 10-15 years ago when all the tires kept failing is probably my all-time favorite...) and races where hubris and/or strategic incompetence coming home to roost are featured front and center.
December 15Dec 15 I don't care what y'all say, I like Zak. But, I like all the toxic personalities in F1.
December 15Dec 15 I remember when they flubbed their new car design so bad that they were basically backmarkers. I'm sure they'll nail the new one right out of the gate though. I don't think Zak is going to handle success very well. Edited December 15Dec 15 by kevwun

Fuck the fat bastard, he will handle success as well as failure which is poorly from a guy whose only achievement on his own is hammering sausage rolls at Gregs.
December 16Dec 16 Swear to god, this was the first year that I realized Zak Brown isn't their team principal.

Basically gives you one full day in the actual paddock area (where the teams are located). The other two days are in the paddock hospitality. Some tracks have this available through the F1 Experience web site.
