I'm sure Lando is happy as the trailing in points driver to be able to fight his teammate for wins...but still kind of pissed that he, as the more experienced driver, wasn't the clear #1 from when Oscar was a rookie. I'm sure Oscar thinks his much improved Saturday results and race consistency should have earned him priority...but is also glad, as a 2nd year driver, that team orders weren't put in place from Race 1. Not saying McLaren is handling it will, but there's also not a clear answer either. Yeah, I can see that angle. If I’m McLaren they have 2 good drivers in the fastest car so no more papaya and let the best man win.
September 8Sep 8 Mclaren was giving Norris the #1 treatment to start the season, but Piastri was just better.
September 8Sep 8 Cant find a full list of lap times by driver for the past race, but Oscar was absolutely hunting down Norris before the pit decision.
September 8Sep 8 Lando pulled away in clean air when Oscar was forced to fight Charles the first 4 laps after Charles got around him at the start, compromising his tires as Max just left Norris in the dust. Norris had the tire advantage between the two and was still significantly slower at the end of the stint Edited September 8Sep 8 by ChickenSandwich

September 13Sep 13 I saw that a couple weeks ago. I like how Max, at the end, mentioned that he doesn't normally like to do press, but he enjoyed that one. I'm a Mustang guy and now have two in the family, that GTD is pretty, pretty cool.
September 14Sep 14 That was a really good video. I laughed at him talking about naming cars. "I only named my 2023 car, I think he deserved it."
September 16Sep 16 Red Bull was so impressed with Lindblad ending three other drivers races in the Monza F2 race and sitting 7th in the F2 championship that they just had to rush him up to F1 right now. And also disrupting an amazing season for Hadjar in the process and forcing him to acclimate to an extremely difficult car mid-season. Helmut Marko must have a fetish for ruining promising racing careers. It's the only explanation. Edited September 16Sep 16 by Burt Macklin

I haven’t seen anything indicating that there is any swapping to be done this year.

I saw some YT short that said it was this year. I should know better than to trust some of shitty sources/AI crap. Still not sure my point changes much. Lindblad does not look ready for F1, and moving Hadjar seems like he'll join the long list of quality, promising drivers RB ruins/sets back about 5 years.

September 18Sep 18 How are there not more stray cats hanging out at paddocks on race weekend? I've seen more of that dang cat today! Pretty sure every single team has posted him at least once, as has F1 and at least 3 other F1 focused accounts. They act like it's the 1st cat they've ever encountered.
September 19Sep 19 Not at an F1 race but I saw these three hanging around the Erwin Center back in the day...
September 20Sep 20 Was Ferrari teasing me today? Leclerc can drive the fuck out of Baku. I can’t spell Azerbaijan. Well, apparently my iPad can. Lol Edited September 20Sep 20 by VABuckeye
September 20Sep 20 This qualifying is ridiculous. Multiple red flags. Will probably take 1:45 to complete. 12 hours ago, VABuckeye said: Was Ferrari teasing me today? Yes
September 20Sep 20 Lando had a great chance to start on the front row and potentially make up most of the points to Piastri in one race. Then qualifies 7th. Challenging conditions, to be sure, but Liam Lawson figured them out.

September 21Sep 21 Author LOLando ...that's the best he could do?! Oscar crashes out on lap 1, and you can't pass Yuki or Lawson? In that McLaren?! 😂😂😂 Edited September 21Sep 21 by NoName

September 21Sep 21 Williams with a podium and 101 points is awesome. Good for them and great for Carlos.
September 21Sep 21 I am in NYC this weekend and got a chance to see some yesterday and watched to about Lap 36 today. Was kind of glad to see Max dominate. Not a great outcome for Lando. On the walk back from Mass at St Patrick’s I saw six Mexican guys attempt to set a homeless guy and his housebox on fire. Kind of a shitty start to the day. There was some Mexican festival or protest or something. A large police presence.
September 21Sep 21 3 hours ago, Mittens said: Bout to find out just how strong a 31pt lead is... 😂😂 About that thought that Oscar not finishing a race had a very small chance of happening? This is why we love sport and why I hate all the fucking predictive analytics. Truly amazing Lando couldn't do more with the opportunity. Hard to believe they find a way to cock up what should be a compelling fight for the drivers' championship.
September 22Sep 22 If there were 5-6 more races instead of 3, it might have ended up a 3 driver fight for the championship.
September 22Sep 22 hate to say it but it has been a boring year and I'm shocked it is almost over. Bring on the new regs and once again, all three compound tires could finish the race with little deg. Do better Edited September 22Sep 22 by ChickenSandwich
September 22Sep 22 If there were 5-6 more races instead of 3, it might have ended up a 3 driver fight for the championship. There are 7 left. If Max wins out he can take it. I almost want him to with the shit show McLaren has become.
September 22Sep 22 Damn, Horner almost with a Jimbo level buyout though Red Bull is doing better without Christian than the Ags without Jimbo.

September 23Sep 23 12 hours ago, Goofyboy said: There are 7 left. If Max wins out he can take it. I almost want him to with the shit show McLaren has become. The math is a little too tight, unfortunately. If Max wins all 7 races and 3 sprints remaining, he'll finish with 454 points. If Lando finishes 2nd in all of those, he'll finish with 446 points. If Oscar finishes 3rd in all of those, he'll finish with 447. There's obviously a much, much better chance that Oscar does better than averaging 3rd in the remaining races (his average finish is 2.4 this season) than Max running the table. The only realistic chance Max has is at least one more DNF from Lando and at least two from Oscar.

September 23Sep 23 I don't think Max will win Singapore. The car has never liked that track, even when it was dominant. If he does, shit might just get interesting especially if Piastri doesn't get it together. I think Lando would wilt if it did come down to himself and Max. Edited September 23Sep 23 by kevwun
September 23Sep 23 Yeah, we have been at a few tracks in a row that have probably flattered the Red Bull a bit and nullified the McLaren’s strengths. Even if that weren’t the case, it would still take a lot more bottling by McLaren for them to mess it up that badly. They have done it before, though.
