on Klubnik's touchdown pass to the wide fucking open receiver was that Simmons in coverage? If it was never do that again.

Hill. I think he got pulled some after that because he was bad in coverage.

Nice game fuckers. That's an extremely balanced and deep team Texas has. I thought Clemson played hard and made it a good game, but some of Sark's gambles played into that as well. I think y'all did e

Who would have thought that our game was the only playoff game that even resembled equally matched foes.

Going in to this game I felt like we had the most difficult first round match up. We have a much easier second round than Ohio State and ND. Boise State and ASU are both pretty favorable matchups for PSU and Texas.

And combined with Sark’s typical 2 quarters nap made this a fun game to watch.

It didn't really, though.

You felt like Clem was more difficult than OSU or Tennessee? That’s interesting mannn

One of the reasons we won handily is thanks to only 2 penalties, including a penalty-free 1st quarter (gasp) for both teams…. First time this season for a game of ours

Which conference refs did we get tonight?

Big 10, same guys that did the Michigan game apparently

Fair. It was only a full quarter+.
After our 3 pts to start the 3rd quarter our offense went dumb with lots of dumb play calls until Sark was jolted awake by Cade getting it to a 7 pt game early in the 4th.

Then the offense and defense girded their loins

I said in another thread that we aren't that good at wide out right now with Bond gimping around and got blasted. Their receivers caught everything. Bad throws or not. They high-pointed the ball and were physical.

And their QB and WRs will be watching the next round of the playoffs from their living rooms.

What refs will we get against ASU?

I know it won't be rig12 or SEC, so that's already a win.

They spread us out and got one on one matchups that they liked. They weren't doing anything special just man beaters when they go man and sitting down in open spaces when they got zone. We got caught with bad personnel on the field a few times and couldn't generate a pass rush. We also had Simmons playing LB depth as a changeup trying to be cute. Clemson was smart and when they caught us they wouldn't let us sub. Muhammed was getting abused because dude was good at using his hands to get sep when the ball was in the air and he looked like he was afraid to be physical back. Maybe he was afraid because of what happened last week.

Sounds legit i want a 5 part mini series on why the pass rush evaporated

No, their offense is a bit better, especially the passing game. But their defense is way way way behind Tennessee. Either Tennessee didn't show up or OSU is flexing some muscle and will give Oregon the fight of the 2nd round.  I didn't watch that game so not sure how it got so lopsided.

We were the only team that didn't comfortably cruise to the first round win over an overmatched opponent. We should have, but this team just doesn't play ball in the 3rd quarter ever.

I'm doing research now.

Tech was running the ball at will against them in September

Worried about running lanes for Klubnik?

Or better blocking?

I don't know.

Edited by David Dennison

All I know is Clemson will be back in the CFP playoffs next season. We're the better team; they had a ton of underclassmenn so we should take them seriously. Klubnik diced up our secondary like they were nothing. The kid is the real deal..

Had our IDL and Edges but been elite, we lose this game easily. How I don't care how many busted coverages we had, they also made tremendous stops.

Is Helm back next year? God I hope so because Juan Davis is a vortex of suck. Niblack must really suck to not play over him.

No, he's gone. Out of eligibility, which sucks. But we have sorne that will be elite;namely Washington, Townsend, Shannon, and hopefully Klare.

Back from the stadium. I've never seen someone actually look like they were shot out of a cannon. JFC Blue. I hope he had one of those gps things on.  Maybe Romance? Like a fuckin' rocket.

No. Clemson is more talented. Tenn has been a paper tiger all season. It got lopsided because Tenn isn't that good and OSU has speed for days.

That run was so amazing. I was sitting in the NEZ and when he broke thru the line all it was was green grass and him burning the sideline running at us. It was so awesome!

The best part of the Blue run was he got hit around the LOS, shook it off, accelerated, and was gone. Blue hasn't had the greatest luck after contact. His run was electric. Agree that it reminded me of Ramonce with that beautiful end around against oSu. That RT run is easily in my top 5 of UT plays.

The team gained some confidence and maturity with this win. When it looked like they were waning AND when the chips were down, they kicked it into another gear. Hope they remember whatever it was that took over for them, because they're gonna need it going forward.

Very very few errors. Great execution on the blocking, especially the two long runs (which apparently were audibled). Very impressive.

Didn't Sark go on record as saying he got the idea to run the ball more from reading Surly?

WTF was Dabo doing when Klubnik threw the pick? It seriously looked like he was trying a laying on of hands

It’s no jet-pack man , but somewhat impressive….

Late to the party but. We had the first down before we tried to go for it on 4th &1  when Manning  fumbled the snap,. But stopping them on that 4th and 6th when they thought they had a chance at a score with  about 1:20 left, was  much more satisfying

Probably telling him that God and some mythical Middle Eastern poor kid had a plan for him.

That he was testing him and that with faith he would overcome the obstacles influence front of him just like he had in 76.923% of the games that they had played so far this season.

Uh, Clemson was overmatched af. They are just well coached. I haven't watched on TV, but on offense it looked completely different from a speed perspective in person.

They came to play and didn't give up, the rest of the teams gave up down 21, the difference was clemson does have real championship level in game coaches, the rest of the teams had whoever.

Funny story. When the third quarter ended, the Clemson guy (whom I quite liked) turned to his friend and said, “they catch match our stadium”, referencing something that happens at their games. Then I pointed to the drones ( which he had missed) the music really kicked in and he was amazed.
