Will say it again: Sark please shelve the play where Ewers fakes a hand off then spins around and throws to opposite side like six yds behind LOS?

The fucking play never works. It takes too long. Every team knows what it is. Today it knocked out Wisner and Majors and lost sic yds.

Take that stupid fucking play off the play sheet and burn it.

I think it worked like once early in the season and the last 3-4 times have been disasters.

  • I admire the talent that's been built up in Austin, but I honestly think ASU has got you beat. Unless you're talking about football players.  Then Texas comes out on top.

  • If y'all want to make this an OnlyFans girl battle instead of a football game, ASU is going to kick your fucking ass.

  • They allowed Josh Heupel at Ohio State's stadium. I don't see the distinction.

ASU’s leading receiver Jordyn Tyson is out for the game. He had 75 catches for 1,101 yards and 10 tds.

All the other receivers and tight ends on the ASU roster have combined for 79 catches for 1,107 yards and 10 tds.

ASU’s starting NT and DT are 6’1” 285 and 6’1” 295. Their Mike is 6’0” 220.

Doesn't matter, got Jake Smith.

Wrong. ESPN has stated they expect the USC vs Aggy GoSupreme Lite Incontinence Adult Diapers Bowl will crush the playoffs in ratings.

I don’t know much about the Big 12. Don’t they call it the Big Dumpster Fire? You can’t compare it to elite SEC teams like Texas A&M University. That school plays tough, SEC-styled football which in the best conference. And when an SEC teams inevitably wins the national championship, they feel pride to be in the same conference. That’s pretty badass.

Win or lose, there’s about 3-4 plays that’ll be shit bc QE held onto the ball too long, doesn’t step up in the pocket, and takes a drive killing sack.

Line opens at Texas -13.5, O/U 50.5.
I expect lots of pics of ASU coeds.

I just looked at their roster. Half of them are Texas Kids or ex Texas platers. Do NOT ask who their DB Coach is either.

Their coaching staff does have a few recognizable names.

Hines Ward - WR - glad to see his CTE has not yet kicked in.  Bryan Carrington - our favorite former Texas recruiting specialist - is ASU's CB coach.  Wonder if he has reached Jay Valai level of competency yet.

Their OC was HC at UNLV (7-23) before Odom (who was 19-8).  Their DC was at Washington State and Nevada before joining ASU.

It makes sense why they were picked low in the Big12.  35/44 of the 2-deep from their 3-9 team was returning.

I was livid when Sark chose to go for it. It gives the other side a chance for celebration and rejuvenation. The UH game is the perfect example. There are, of course, other examples in Sark's tenure and Herman's.

I think the decision this time is mitigated by the poor performance of Auburn. That mitigates the decision, but does not fully justify it.

Sometimes, I think head coaches get too tied up in the math of the score. Going for it yesterday may have been the best chance to score, but the risk was the victory the other team may get when they are on the ropes. Missing a field goal is a relief to the other side rather than a victory.

I still think Sark should have kicked, but this decision wasn't as stupid as other times. I still think Sark is learning.  He went with the running game yesterday. He blamed himself for not doing so more often in the past.

I admire cold self-assessment in anyone. It's not easy when the world is celebrating your success. I really like our coach.

Gimme a week or so to cook.  The last time I was actively posting here, it was ShaggyBevo, some blacklab dude ran it and me and a guy that went by ShineGlo or something had a conversation during a Missouri game thread about how 'Wanton Hookery' was both an accurate description for Mill Ave/6th Street and also an awesome band name.

Welcome, again. Happy to see an opposing fan that knows how to fuck around on this board. Haven't watched much ASU this year, outside of the end of the BYU game where I wanted to strangle your HC for how he handled the end of the game, lol (I bet on ASU).

Who are players on ASU Defense to look out for?

So you’re arguing that the premier bowls should invite middling teams, playing for nothing, with most players opting out? I guess they get to rotate who hosts the championship?

And that the extremely competent committee and the perfectly structured playoff should gift home field advantage (on top of a bye) to teams like Arizona state and fucking Boise? Boise for new years and potentially Jan 9/10 sounds great! Hey at least the snow will cover that “bush league” blue turf.

Think through, like with a fucking calendar, how you’d have all the bowls finished before the playoffs start. I’ll wait.

Our best defensive player took a free headshot at Iowa State's QB when we were up 45-10 so he's out for a half, Xavion Alford is very good now, CJ Fite is the classic "Just a little bit too small" DT that overproduces, Clay Smith is nice sometimes, Crooks is from Arkansas and has been pretty good...  Alford and Shamari Simmons (out for smoking Rocco Becht because it was like dangling a pork chop in front of a tiger) are the best players.  There are a lot of guys who are decent, but we don't have much for headliners.

We had half a yard to get to essentially close the game out. You go for that half yard every time.

Lived in Phoenix for a while and can confirm ASU fans are nothing like Tech fans. It will be nice to play them vs another Big 12 school would go on a holy jihad for a .0000001% chance to get best of Texas.  That being said, fuck Bobby Hurley.

Yeah, I'm not trying to hate but the 13.5 line is too low.

ASU will be without their 2nd best player on offense for the entire game and best player on defense for a half. This was already a mismatch at the LOS. I think the line should be around 17 to 18 points.

Clemson has significantly more talent. Hard to say if they were a better team this year since that talent didn't always mesh together. But way higher ceiling.

Easily without Tyson.

ASU loses at least 2 to BYU, KSU, and Texas State without Tyson going off.

Hate to break it too you (because I don't like it either), but it's far more likely to go the other way, with all games at neutral locations.  There's just too much money on the table.  The only wild card is whether fans will travel to multiple games- and of course they will.

A black sharpie after the failed “attempt,” as well as causing two injuries would’ve been a quick fix to the play sheet. The very next play Majors gets concussed on a blind side block after a tipped INT.

Next week and forward just please omit that play until next year or never - too slow.

ASU has a better running game because the RB is a bowling ball who's fast and hard as hell to tackle.  I don't think their defense is as good though.  Maybe they've improved a lot since then but they were in a 4Q dogfight with Texas State.
