Not exactly the prototypical DT body type, but he does get shit done. Good eval in the portal.

it was funny when he made the stop on 3rd down against aggy, herbstreit didn't know his name and just called him #15.  that guy has been instrumental in 2 huge goal line stands and I bet 90% of our fans have no idea who he is or where he's from.

At the Kentucky game they were naming our starting lineups and I was like "who the fuck is Bill Norton?"

I know who he is now.

Total pimp.

Dude is silently a killer. Wish he could come back, along with Lole. Those guys are just great finds. That stop at the goal line was nothing short of awesome

It's evidence of great coaching/evaluation when you can get great production from less heralded, cheaper players by fitting them to the right roles in your system.

I commented somewhere else but that 4th down stop was about as loud as I've ever heard DKR and it was certainly the loudest that we got all night against Clemson.

Check it out from here

Hell yes. He’s played pretty well this season. I’ve noticed him getting pressure at different times and was unsure of who he was.

Holy Shit, is that Bill Norton?

According to the Insta linked on his youtube page, it appears to be.

So here comes Bill a-walkin' down Nine Mile – that's Bill Norton, y'understand – got his sandwich in one hand, the fuckin' head in the other!

He came pre-installed with the defense.

Looks like refrigerator Perry out there.

He’s as good as any interior DL in the country when he’s fresh and rested

The neat part is having the depth to play him ONLY when he’s fresh

y'all are serious about not knowing who bill Norton was? surly is slipping

He has definitely come on big toward the end of the season, which is great to see.  At the start of the season, he was merely okay -- he didn't flash much at all and Lole was definitely ahead of him in the rotation.  But Norton has gotten better and better as the season progressed to the point now that he's a force in the middle of the line, particularly against the run.  Credit to him, Kenny Baker, and the rest of the defensive staff for his development throughout the season.

I'd like to vote him for Gaskamp award but since he's a portal guy I guess we can't

After stuffing the 4th-and-goal attempt, he goes up to the QB and says, "I'm Bill Norton! SAY IT!!!"  Then he manipulates the QB's lips in such a way as to make him say, "Biiiilllnorrrrton".... it wasn't exactly like it, but it was pretty good for a guy named Klubnik!

Didn’t realize he was a highly ranked recruit who originally signed with Georgia.

Body by Rick Ross.

Bill Norton is such an ordinary, white bread name these days, it almost seems like it's made up.

We’ll see him in NFL rotations if he stays healthy.

The amazing thing about that play is he's fully engaged with an olineman, the RB has a full head of steam, runs into him and he doesn't give up an inch.

Yeah, he was clowning the guard with one hand and scooping up the rb with the other, all while shoving them back. It looked like a grown man playing with his kids.

Newest beat dropped five days ago. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Bill’s been in the lab. Y’all freestyle over one of his beats in the next Surly Podcast.

You may not like it, but this is peak male physique.

I've always enjoyed seeing a DT tackle a runner using the guy's own blocker. Alternatively, just grabbing the whole backfield and throwing them away one at a time until he gets to the one with the ball. Good work, Norton.

Haha.

I did the exact same thing at that game

Get Big Bill a T'Vondre touchdown, Sark.  It is the Right Thing To Do.

Where does he go in the draft? 7th or free agent? Looks like a Roy Miller specialty. Goes late but ptoduces at a high NFL level.

Roy Miller was a third rounder?

That Sweat TD last year was top play for me. Norton deserves one too!

Miller was 6'2 295, every down interior d lineman. Norton is listed at 6'6 and 350+. Think Tony Siragusa, a gigantic run stuffer to clog shit up and keep blockers off LBs, make some short yardage tackles.

I see Norton as a late round pick or a UFA signing, depending upon his performance at the combine or UT's pro day.  His stats here (13 tackles) and at Airzona (32 tackles) are not going to attract attention, but that's because of his role in PK's defense - to eat blockers and allow others to do their jobs.

In the latter part of his NFL career, Siragusa played at 6'3"/330 (I think he was heavier, but who cares).  At Pitt, he was 6'5"/240 as an incoming freshman and played at 6'5"/255 as a soph.  An interesting note: he was a state champion wrestler in HS.  When I first read it, I wondered how massive Siragusa was in HS.  Fwiw.
