I can only speak for myself but I’m shattered that OU and Aggy lost. We are now part of the SEC, which is a brotherhood that transcends sports. It’s more than a football conference. It’s a shared culture and belief system, that fills us with pride and purpose. We cried with joy when Vanderbilt beat Georgia Tech, and we cried tears of shame and sorrow when Aggy fell. We may be rivals on the field, but at the end of the day, they are our brethren and while we’re not there yet, with hard work, we can be truly SEC-ready.

Next time you feel a need to write something unpleasant on your TexAgs troll account, think about how you are ultimately hurting your family. It just means more. Hope this helps.

There it is!!! You from the future or sumthing? Also, who are the 2 teams from the conference that are competing for a NC? It’s so weird that they claim winning by association.

Still would though.

My aggie buddy is sure to say - "it was just a show to see who had the best 4th string players."

You know why I am so sure?  He started that crap two weeks ago.

Breakfast was glorious this AM with both the dirt Burglers and aggy losing on the same day. Fng pig had to win or it’d have been the trifecta of hate going down.

Hook’em!!!

This wasn’t a burp of the kind that most people burp.

This was very much an Ag burp.

This wasn’t a gas build up in your stomach that you pause for and move your chest and neck in a way to facilitate that gas’ escape while also trying to keep the noise from being detected.

This was a gas release from a build up due to fermentation in the second stomach of a strictly bovine nature.

We witnessed something that happens in pastures and barns everyday in our country.

It just means Mehhhhhhhhlko.

Elko does not have enough skins on the wall or personality to talk about his team like this in front of the media. I understand the frustration, but it's amateurish and I doubt it will be helpful in the long run. You love to see it.

As soon as Elko said his defense would never play this bad again, my radar immediately went up and reminded me of Charlie Strong also making some dumb absolute proclamation during a press conference that he of course had to backtrack on shortly thereafter.

While that Elko press conference was just a tiny blip in a year of hilarity, it really did demonstrate that at least right now Elko is in over his head and not ready for what lies ahead. Maybe he figures it all out over the summer but I doubt it.  The end of next year could be very ugly for them if they underperform again, and I’ll have my popcorn ready.

Jesus Christ, falling from #10 in the country to 5 losses is a speed bump??

I could understand if Bama fans looked at this season as an anomaly.  But for aggy, this is who you are.  It's who you've always been.  You can't even cheat your way to more wins anymore because it's legal for everybody else to pay players, too.

If the Titanic had been full of aggy, they'd have looked at the massive rip in the hull and said, "It's just a flesh wound!  That just woke up the sleeping giant!"

On a related note, does anyone else think it’s really stupid when the SEC uses vintage Texas highlights, like Earl Campbell running the ball, in their promos? Makes me think I’m watching North Korean Ministry of Information-level shite.

I've been thinking of it as the SEC indoctrinating its fanbase to the Texas winning history.

We just gave them (SEC media machine) a hundred new years of cool stuff to talk about (instead of the same old thing year after year).

Nah. The Peach Bowl is a traditional bowl playing on a holiday with an audience that will give the game an audience.

Vegas is a terrible place to host a bowl game. Ignoring the whole part of distant fan bases, what people that are there would want to go to a bowl game? Your options are bowl game or just about anything Vegas has to offer.

It would fill with locals if the tickets are cheap enough. That was about probably 70% of the crowd at the SEC champ game. They like football in ATL. Granted Georgia pulls a shit ton more interest than ASU or Texas but I think it will be about 50-60% full.

I hear so many commentators talk about how explosive Bussey is… Have we ever seen any evidence of it on the field in college?

I had to look up his stats because I have been hearing the same thing all year, but never saw the production. In 12 regular season games he had 318 scrimmage yards or 26.5/game.

For comparison, Colin Page played in 5 regular season games and had 19.8/game.

Second time I’ve driven to Colorado for vacation.  First time stopped/stayed in Dumas. This time I saw Hampton Inn Dalhart and figured “how bad can a Hampton Inn be?”

Well, the answer is not bad.  Dalhart on the other hand - kinda smelly and can’t really tell what that place does well.

Watched video of the elk belching into the mic and started laughing.  Showed it to my 12 yo son who thinks burps and farts are the funniest thing ever and we both had a good laugh.

Wife said “this is like Christmas all over for you two, isnt it?”  Heh heh.

Then, about 5 minutes later, she said “wait a minute - is that the same guy that said “we’re fully focused on the game this week - Texas, I mean Auburn?”

Heh heh.

I think one play accounted for 1/5th of the yards against mcneese and the legend was born.

Some USC fan posted this on reddit and I think it's the kind of summary that ESPN should be using, because it instantly sums everything up.

USC and Texas A&M were like two 63 old filipino men in Vegas on their 36th hour at the Pai gow table.
