December 29, 2024Dec 29 Brisbane 500 & Auckland 250 for the ladies. United Cup for both. Brisbane draw, Aryna leads the way.
December 29, 2024Dec 29 Author Maya won her first match. Someone said she had 90 days after the USO to claim her $, so she probably didn’t lose that $210K either.
December 30, 2024Dec 30 I don't think this is a legit sponsored WTA website. They post photos and invite you to guess who it is.

January 4Jan 4 Author 3-all in Aryna v. Mirra, then Tigress ended the fun. 9 of last 11 to handle business. Mirra gonna be real good though.
January 5Jan 5 Author Now we have Coco v. Iga & Aryna v. Kudermetova the Younger at the exact same time in an hour.
January 9Jan 9 Author And just to round things out… Aryna gets to kill Sloane in R1 of AO, Coco same against Sofia, & Maya gets JPeg.

January 10Jan 10 Jenson Brooksby plays #4 Fritz in the first round of the AO. Rough draw for your first match in a couple years.
January 11Jan 11 Author McCartney Kessler beats Mertens in Hobart for her second title. Monfils became the oldest ATP winner at 38, that’s kinda hard to believe.

February 1Feb 1 Author Last night, the commentator said Kalinskaya had 20 retirements in her career. Well, 21 now. That is insane for a 26-year old.
February 3Feb 3 Author Lulu finally broke a long-ass losing steak. Polina Kudermetova withdrew so someone named Veronika Kudermetova could get her spot in Abu Dhabi. That is some shady-ass shit.
February 4Feb 4 Author Simona ate two breadsticks in an hour in her home country. Dallas Open is underway, elevated to 500 this year.

Side section with a bit of Lounge access, but not the VIP lounge access. Ticket was $15 + $16 taxes and fees. ($31) The mother/daughter people to my left said that these seats are $2,000 if you buy the entire tournament. Big Foe was practicing earlier. Ben Shelton is practicing at 4:30pm-5pm Fritz & Opelka practice at 5pm-6pm. (My guess is that if you double up your practice with another player, you can book an hour.)

Nice grab, $15 is basically free.

Like my $4 VIP parking actually cost $10.41 when I purchased the parking pass in advance. That said, my ticket came with Sideline Club Lounge access and I managed to avoid the stadium purge of day session people because I was shopping for souvenirs, so may mosey in there by showing my wrist band before driving back to civilization. Andy Murray’s brother & partner just beat some American team in doubles. Fancy Club Lounge with buffet is on the gound floor through the glass windows. Sideline Club (middle class club) is one floor up and don’t appear to have any food in their catering line. UPDATE: The middle class club wrist bands have changed from light blue (day session) to tennis ball yellow 🎾 for the night session. Napoleon is perturbed. 🤌🤌🤌 Edited February 5Feb 5 by Napoleon
February 5Feb 5 Hanging out for the first set of the night session, because I was in the souvenir area when they kicked out the day session people (spent $120, so they got my money). The intro to the night session is traditional ATP night session stuff. DALLAS COWBOYS CHEERLEADERS bumping & grinding to AC⚡️DC’s “Thunderstruck”. Then the players enter the stadium with the cheerleaders on each side: IMG_6492.mov And finally ready to go.
