January 21Jan 21 Not sure if I'm being over dramatic or not, but just shut off water at main valve and emptied all faucets throughout the house. We have plenty of bottled water and stored water for the next day and half but last winter storm I had 6 busted pipes and that was a huge nightmare. Hoping this time around that is mitigated. Stay safe and warm

Stay safe and warm You probably are being overdramatic, but a lot of us are. Think we’ll be like this for a very long time. Unfortunately, all my damage came from my roof failing rather than broken pipes, so I just get to lay awake all night listening for indoor waterfalls

January 21Jan 21 Snow squall and Graupel are terms I just learnt today. Thunder sleet is something with which I am familiar.
