Snow Squall Warning in Amarillo.

Now they're just making up shit.  Never have heard that particular nomenclature until today.

It's a legit term, I looked it up- it's a town in the Texas panhandle.

There are the lightest of flurries starting in The Woodlands.

Not sure if I'm being over dramatic or not, but just shut off water at main valve and emptied all faucets throughout the house. We have plenty of bottled water and stored water for the next day and half but last winter storm I had 6 busted pipes and that was a huge nightmare. Hoping this time around that is mitigated. Stay safe and warm

You probably are being overdramatic, but a lot of us are. Think we’ll be like this for a very long time. Unfortunately, all my damage came from my roof failing rather than broken pipes, so I just get to lay awake all night listening for indoor waterfalls

Is it too late to evacuate to Lake Charles?

Some shit headed towards SA/NB right now

Most not reaching the ground yet. Evaporating/sublimating before it can. Once the column gets moistened (that’s what she said), it could though.

Considering we weren't supposed to see anything until after midnight, I'll take it.

Gonna be a massive nothingburger. Dewpoints too dry.

Dewpoint in Austin is 10. Don’t know I’ve ever seen it that low.

Anyone scared of a couple inches of snow is a giant pussy.

Not from Hardin Co. it isn't.

I'm not scared of it.  I'm concerned about how the idjits are going to be out acting fools over this shit and making things inconvenient.  I'm somebody, my convenience shall not be infringed.

HEB begs to differ.

I work next door to their station.  (Well, I rarely go into the office.)  She does look good.

Funny to watch all the thirsty old dudes constantly commenting on her FB posts

9 degrees here.

Left the garage door open this afternoon and sodas are freezing in the fridge.

Cold AF, and dropping.

Getting some sort of wintry precip in 78727 - maybe graupel?

I hear antibiotics will take care of that.

My wife just called it graupel. No idea what she was talking about.

Snow squall and Graupel are terms I just learnt today.

Thunder sleet is something with which I am familiar.

Don't care. Hit it with type IV deicing fluid.
