February 5Feb 5 I hate cold weather, so in a very selfish way I love what's going on. But, it's a symptom of a very serious problem, so yeah, fuck that.

Please? the Farmer’s Almanac says no… The Farmers' Almanac predicts a “Thunder and Zing Spring” for 2025, with wet, stormy weather across much of the United States and South, despite warmer-than-normal conditions. Texas and Oklahoma are expected to remain mostly dry, though the states will start spring with below-normal temperatures. Then, the Almanac states May will bring warmer-than-usual conditions, and above-average heat is expected through summer, with rainfall staying slightly below to near normal. This warming trend coincides with the peak of Solar Cycle 25, expected in July 2025. While high solar activity has historically been linked to warmer global temperatures, this connection has weakened in recent decades. Notably, Solar Cycle 25 has already surpassed the peak intensity of Solar Cycle 24, indicating a particularly active cycle. "A fairly active severe weather season is expected, with the potential for damaging winds, hail and tornadoes—especially in the Deep South, which is forecast to see a wetter-than-normal spring and more frequent thunderstorms," the Almanac states.

Also has Feb as mixed. Must have been one of those days they were drunk when forecasting. Meanwhile, got 4 of my new veggie beds being built. But damn the allergies have me today.

I gotta GTFO of Texas before summer.
February 8Feb 8 if my AC was turned on right now, it would be running as I noticed the thermostat at 80. But fuck running the AC in early Feb. I'll ditch for the evening and use someone else's AC. I don't care for this one bit. No sir.

February 10Feb 10 Nice to open the door this morning to let the dogs outside and not have it already feel like 80 and muggy. It was basically late May in Houston this past week.

I was expecting upper 70s, so I threw a pair of shorts and a golf shirt into the truck in the morning. Needless to say, this weather miss derailed those plans. Haven't seen a whiff this big on a forecast in ages.
