Haha.
Irving to Cypress to pick up my boy.

Normally straight 45, unless I take the Waco through Groesbeck route to 6.

One floodgate is open at Wirtz Dam to pass storm runoff downstream. LCRA plans to open a floodgate at Starcke Dam later this evening. The water will be passed downstream into Lake Travis.

Lake Travis Info
659.90 feet on a conservation pool of 681.  The rainfall in the past week has raised the water level more than half way from its deficit last week towards full capacity.
My interest in the lake info is twofold 1) it is an incredibly interesting reservoir WRT water levels and extreme lows recently and 2) have cousins who live on the lake at Lago.

Travis went over 660' at 5:50am this morning according to the LCRA River Operations Report page. Gates are still open at Wirtz and Starke so should continue to rise.

*Edit to ask: Anyone know what level sometimes islands are covered? Been so long I don't remember.

Went outside this morning for a quick walk and it was 69 degrees in SW Austin.  On July 10th.  Nice!  Was 75 last night at 8:30.

For some reason, 668' is in my head. But there is also a lot of bourbon and vodka in my head.

The deep state LCRA caught wind on my 661 prediction from last week and are doing everything they can to prevent me being right.

Most of Kerr County in D2 is also a head scratcher

Super heavy rain in a short amount of time. It doesn't soak in, it runs into the river and creates a flash flood.

Just had a nice thunder boomer roll through here with a brief downpour and, now, the lingering pitterpatter of light stuff. Windows are open, and it’s 73 degrees at 12:45 pm in the middle of July.
