Boarded our plane in Vegas (original 4:45 departure, delayed till 6:45). Then they kicked us off. Delayed till 9:10…maybe. Will be a nice 2:00 am arrival. If the weather is done with us then. At least I’m parked under cover. Good luck, fellas.

Hot damn. 2.5 inches in the gauge. Actually thought it was gonna be more based on how much was building up on my back porch, but no complaints here!

Sirens again in 666.

Sirens here but we don't have tornado sirens. Ours are for flash floods

Con: delayed at airport.
Pro: the delay granted me time to run over to the C gates and get a Popeyes spicy dark with RBAR.
Who says you can’t win in Vegas?

I was just talking with my buddy who has a place out there early today.  He was worried about his tanks running dry if this storm didn’t come through.  Very happy for all the folks about in the Hill Country.

Memorial Day has been good to the hill country watersheds and aquifers.

We left Kingsland around lunch and crossed over Sandy Creek. It had water for the first time this year that we have been out but definitely not flowing like that. That’s wonderful to see

Starting hearing water drip inside my window in my office... then I see a fucking bubble on the wall... punctured it and drained into a trashcan but goddammit now I gotta call a roofer.

I too have a leak in my master bedroom closet. Roof was redone not even 4 years ago.

Usually takes a holiday in Texas to get good rain.

Hairy approach and landing at AUS. Got a few screams from some passengers as we went into short freefall a coupla times in downdrafts. Landed fine, now backed up because every plane on earth waited till now to come in. No gates.

I'm surprised they tried to land at all with all the lightning still here. Glad you're safely down though.

If I did this correctly, last 12hrs of rainfall as of 1:45am Tues...

Lake Travis should get a little help.  Guadalupe River, Blanco River should be rising too.

And Canyon Lake should get some help.

Sandy Creek still flowing nicely.  Water making its way down the Llano and Pedernales slowly rising at Hammett's Crossing.

This shit is why I hate flying.  Even though the small "freefalls," are normal, they're not normal to me.

I fly in as early as possible to Houston to beat the 3pm thunderstorms.

Everyone ready for round 5?

Man, I always was when I was 20 or so.

Oh, wait, you’re talking about rain.

Same in 78748.  Loud thunder a bit ago.  Woke up to pee, then turds had to flee.  No use going back to bed now.
