No, I know - they're just not common anymore. We bought a screen that has magnets up the middle so it closes back letting the dogs come and go without letting bugs in.

We had one of those and our friendly backyard garter snake figured it out and made himself comfortable in the living room.

Crustables are the tits at halftime I will say with obvious bias from having two kids go down the soccer path, it's one of a handful of wimenz sports that are compelling. Along with volleyball, gymnastics, swimming, and track/field.
February 11Feb 11 Closest hydromet rain gauge says we got 2.3 inches today. I'll fucking take it. It's been coming down steady pretty much all day.

March 13Mar 13 Our soccer practices were cancelled mid practice due to lightning. We didn't get rain. I'm not happy.

March 14Mar 14 I'm really concerned about this summer. We're already at stage 4 water restrictions in our area of Comal County. Rain motherfucker.

March 15Mar 15 We were not expecting a storm last night, right? Hit us here in 78665 around 3 AM, and rain has either continued or resumed this morning.

Woke up to strobe lights a little before 3am, went back to bed about 20 minutes later, and drove in lightening on the way to the gym at 6am. Didn’t see this on the forecasts.
March 15Mar 15 Whoa. That was intense for a minute. Not often does thunder shake the windows at my house.
March 15Mar 15 The thunder and lightning woke me up around 3:00 am. We had about 10 minutes of hail followed by a short rain shower in 78729

Either some kind of hail or it was raining muddy rain.

The car washes in the neighborhood were busy.
March 17Mar 17 We're headed for (we're already in) another 2011-ish drought. This is becoming the new normal. Get used to it. Also, it looks like the water infrastructure funding pitch at the Lege is going to get cut to half-assed levels. Because if there's one thing we're good at in Texas, it's sticking our heads in the sand. On the bright side, we are building up an ever-increasing supply of said sand, so....yay.
March 17Mar 17 Hate to be Debbie downer, but we are actually running out of the type of sand we need.

I didn't hear anything but my mom was upstairs in the guest room and said she heard hail.
March 20Mar 20 windmap currently showing 10mph winds in New Braunfels right now but it's howling like a damn TS out there. Are we getting some sort of freak wind tunnel thing again? We got one a few years ago but I forgot what it was called. Just a weird confluence of pressure and fronts out of nowhere we had trampolines all over the place.
