See, that’s how I feel about screen doors.

Who got rid of it? This wasn’t something that went extinct like the duck-billed platypus.

Just go buy one and install it.

No, I know - they're just not common anymore.  We bought a screen that has magnets up the middle so it closes back letting the dogs come and go without letting bugs in.

We had one of those and our friendly backyard garter snake figured it out and made himself comfortable in the living room.

Kid has a soccer game tonight in this soup.  Should be a fun time.

That just sends everyone to the parking lot for 30 minutes.  No bueno.  Well, except for the beer.

Same. Luna squeezes herself between the couch and wall during thunder.

I will say with obvious bias from having two kids go down the soccer path, it's one of a handful of wimenz sports that are compelling.  Along with volleyball, gymnastics, swimming, and track/field.

Closest hydromet rain gauge says we got 2.3 inches today. I'll fucking take it. It's been coming down steady pretty much all day.

Our soccer practices were cancelled mid practice due to lightning. We didn't get rain.  I'm not happy.

Meh, just move all the people coming into Texas out of that water shed. You know, into the hill country.

I'm really concerned about this summer. We're already at stage 4 water restrictions in our area of Comal County. Rain motherfucker.

Yep, stage 3 in Hays. That is going to be the new norm.

We were not expecting a storm last night, right? Hit us here in 78665 around 3 AM, and rain has either continued or resumed this morning.

Same. Woke up to strobe lights a little before 3am, went back to bed about 20 minutes later, and drove in lightening on the way to the gym at 6am. Didn’t see this on the forecasts.

Thunder but only a trace of rain in NW Travis.  Happy for those that got some, though.

The thunder and lightning woke me up around 3:00 am. We had about 10 minutes of hail followed by a short rain shower in 78729

I wonder if we got some hail.  All of the cars in our neighborhood had tiny little round dirt spots all over them.  Either some kind of hail or it was raining muddy rain.

The recent high winds kicking up tons of dust in the air made for some dust-colored paint jobs on our cars over the weekend.

The car washes in the neighborhood were busy.

We're headed for (we're already in) another 2011-ish drought.  This is becoming the new normal.  Get used to it.

Also, it looks like the water infrastructure funding pitch at the Lege is going to get cut to half-assed levels.  Because if there's one thing we're good at in Texas, it's sticking our heads in the sand.  On the bright side, we are building up an ever-increasing supply of said sand, so....yay.

Hate to be Debbie downer, but we are actually running out of the type of sand we need.

78728.  I didn't hear anything but my mom was upstairs in the guest room and said she heard hail.

windmap currently showing 10mph winds in New Braunfels right now but it's howling like a damn TS out there. Are we getting some sort of freak wind tunnel thing again? We got one a few years ago but I forgot what it was called. Just a weird confluence of pressure and fronts out of nowhere we had trampolines all over the place.

We are getting some good gusts north of you.

Windy as shit. This front is stronger than I thought it would be
