I got my boy out from La Junta. As far as I can tell the whole camp got to high ground well in advance of the bad stuff and watched the camp get obliterated. My son is 8 and they took the younger kids

Looking west/southwest from the arboretum, there is a nice localized microburst that appears to be hitting in just the right spot

1" at our house yesterday.  Beautiful heavy rain.  That's 3" in August!

Nothing at my house.  Zero inches since the second week of July.  A few lucky souls but in general, the Austin FF is doing work now.  Past 2 weeks:

Ha, just noticed Bee Cave.  I mean, of course! :)

Man, Bee Cave ain't getting crap lately.  Someone's spraying the sensor with a water hose to screw with us.

Lightning and thunder all around me yesterday afternoon but not a drop of rain.

Had a similar issue at the school.  They let the kids out one by one due to the thunder / lightning.  I don't think it rained a drop, and it was several hundred parents waiting outside for the kids out in the open.  Wife said it took 30 minutes to pick them up.

Closest Wunderground weather station (about 3-4 streets away) from August.  I mean, almost 3" by mid-August and the highest temp at 101 is nuts.

Was driving south on 360 from around the Lost Creek area.  Could see gobs of rain between there and DT.  Good dumping.

Well, that was weird.  Crossing Mopac on Steck headed west I hit some legit circulation.  Tiny, like a dust devil, but there was a flattened cardboard box doing laps over the overpass.

This shit is moving due south. Wonder if it'll make it.

(I know the answer already)

Random drizzle in 78751. Looking like a bit more coming too.

7 drops have hit my roof in Cedar Park.

Ooh, shit, 8 and 9.  It's on.

Yep, this is a nice 20 minute downpour so far.

It's even raining at my house which means errrrrrbody probably gonna get some.

Motherfucker all the good heavy stuff jumped over me or just slightly west of me. Why is it so scattered and random. One guy can get nothing while a half mile down the road someone else gets 3 inches.
