  • That was the most entertaining game I’ve watched in years.  Obviously I wanted the Big 12 squad to prevail, but I think they did enough to prove we should be included which is really all I cared about

Ewers is what he is. Y'all can (and will) argue about that all day. But when you have a gifted thrower whose weakness is processing speed and feeling rushed in the pocket it is awful coaching to have him turn away from the defense so often. Sarkisian takes a guy who needs a much processing time as possible and instructs him to look away from the coverage and even face the wrong way an absurd amount of the time.
There's nothing gifted about Ewers throwing ability.

I still think he got a concussion in the 1st Q... the continued head shake is a major key concussion sign now

He has always done that.  I saw it in the Texas state game.  Strange

Wow, two first downs and a possible sighting of our running game.

Gunnar Helm time.

Yeah this is really the 1-2 punch.  It's like Sark feels pressured to scheme guys open because Quinn can't drive the ball.  Which comes first the chicken or the egg?

Pocket collapsing on Ewers every play. OL getting pushed backwards.

A lot of their pressure is on blitzes. QB and receivers/TE have to recognize who's hot and make the play. We're surprisingly bad at executing hot routes, which is something that's been in football for decades

Dude, it’s only 3:30 on Bourbon Street.

You're being a pussy.

do we understand how to run the clock

Texas D wants more possessions.

We aren't locked in here with them, they're locked in here with Colin Simmons.
