Just because the Surgeon General says drinking isn't "healthy" doesn't mean we can't tie one on every once in a while.

Big night out with neighborhood guys. Surprised I can still type.

I have two unhealthy habits.  I drink too much soda.  I tie one on every now and then.  Cheers to 2025.

I'd recommend laying off our 3rd quarter offense and save your best for last.

I was drunk last night, so...checking in.

Stayed up til 3 swilling bourbon with my best friend of 53 years.

Feel shitty today, but...worth it!

That's all I got.

I'm a few Irish coffees and a gummy into the day, so cheers motherfuckers!

it’s noon now, so I’m having a cocktail to see if it will help the soul of my left foot, which stepped on a rusty roofing nail yesterday.   I had a new roof put on recently and the contractor. supposedly ran magnets around the yard, but so far I’ve picked up at least 10 of them in the soles of my various shoes. I unfortunately was wearing the thinnest souled shoes I had yesterday when I picked up this one.

Google says I should clean the wound with alcohol. I thought “what would Ronald Reagan do?” - and I decided the trickle down theory was best. Drinking some and we’ll see what happens.

You should also get a tetanus shot.

i’ve had a booster within 10 years. There is also a recent study showing that you likely have 30 year booster effectiveness.  If it hurts or looks red and inflamed in a day or two, I will do exactly that thing though. that is a great suggestion.

I had two beers this morning while eating an early lunch at Swam Oyster Depot (San Francisco). Pretty sure it’s required to drink alcohol when eating there.

PSA…anyone in SE Texas needs to hit Spec’s on Monday. It may be Thursday afternoon. Before you can get on the roads again.

I lost one of my best Sour Lake teenage friends. It seems like two days ago, because I’ve been highly intoxicated since. Just told the wife of 30+ to just leave me alone and I’ll go to work Tuesday. His service is Saturday morning (25).

Hook’em!!!

Roasted a very nice pork shoulder for supper and for some reason kimchi and soju go quite nicely with that so it's Friday and I've got quite the buzz here.

Nice shower, industrial strength shampoo, nice terrycloth bathrobe...  it could happen.

Pasta alla puttanesca along with a nice wine this evening. Perhaps not drunk drunk, but considering tomorrow is Monday, feeling groovy.

Astros shit the bed tonight. My March madness bracket is busted. Might as well drink.

Sooo, made a red clam sauce with linguine and a small toasted ciabatta with garlic butter to mop up the sauce. Had some makgeolli while cooking since the bottle was already opened, then spouse pours a red wine for the meal and after a couple of glasses and supper over and that pretty much is our cross cultural potent potable for the evening.

Cheers!

Aiyah, you can tell it's getting warmer because gin & tonic was the choice tonight. It's not something we have so much during cooler weather and since we had a couple of limes left in the bag, here we are. Our little lime tree is now five years old and put on quite a few flowers last month and the wee limes have begun to form for what we hope will be a fruitful summer. The difference between the bag of limes from the store and one picked from the tree is noticeable.  Hayman's Extra Dry for the gin. Cheers!
