My BYOB lineup for Houston Arcade Expo this weekend.  It's nerdfest, but also very cool/ fun.

I just tried the Parish offering for the first time on Thursday.  Dat shit is good!!!  My broadening of my range has paid off nicely with more great beers.

New craft beer trend?

QR code on the can that takes you to a YouTube clip that is the origin of the beer’s name:

NEWPORT– Rogue Ales & Spirits, which has seen its beer sales drop and owes hundreds of thousands of dollars in rent and back taxes, abruptly shut its massive Newport operations and all of its restaurants Friday, the Lincoln Chronicle has learned.

A Christmas Ale before Thanksgiving? I bet you already have your lights on.

Man that stinks - fond memories of drinking Rogue as it was one of the first craft breweries I encountered while growing up out west. It was one of the ones that opened my eyes to a world beyond Natty Light as a 22 year old.

RIP

When I lived up there Snoqualmie was one of my favorites.   I also loved Deschutes and Rogue but just found it looks like Rogue is shutting down.

I’m on vacation, gimme a break, I’ll be back to quadrupel hazy triple hop bourbon-barrel red porter nitros soon enough, imo

Bought this one strictly on principal. Not bad at all. Nothing over the top terrific, but it’s solid.

Except Gus Polinski was obviously Polish or Slovenian and played that yankee style of polka, nothing like Czech at all…

I love 903. They do some crazy stuff, but their Stouts and BA are top tier.

25 years or so ago I stumbled onto some gas station beef jerky called “Texas Best” it was made in West Virginia.  This feels kind of similar.

I mean, I just bought it because it’s close to Christmas and I’m a giant kid and still watch Home Alone religiously this time of year. And I’m gonna watch it while drinking this beer tonight. Probably won’t buy it again, but it wasn’t a bad choice by any means.

Boundary of No Escape stout with fig, walnut and cacao, apparently. Whatever's on it, it's pretty damn good. At Variant in Roswell, GA.
