They make a NZ IPA that’s really good.

Gonna miss these guys.  Batsquatch.  Dead Guy Ale. Hazlenut Brown.
RIP Rogue Brewery.  Still hard to believe.

Been on a winter beer kick lately, this Rahr Winter Warmer is sooooo good. 8% and absolutely delicious. They make a BA version I have to try

This is crap. You would think if any US brewery could brew the ultimate Vienna Lager, it would be Von Trapp. Maybe a tiny step up from Killians. I had to replace it with the much better Big Bark.

Silk Bathrobe (Hazy ipa), Turning Point Beer, 8.2%. Silky like the name and a juice bomb. Nice way to finish off the weekend.

pinthouse is doing their $5 back on a $20 gift card thing again, time to stock up.

also, the jackie treehorn at pinthouse is fucking delicious. bourbon barrel aged milk stout with coconut, vanilla, and sea salt. definitely a dessert beer.

Will any other Surly beer enjoyers be at the pinthouse brewing jaguar shark event Friday?

I wish I could get some pint house in DFW 😢

Buff-Turkey Ogre Barrel Aged, 903 Brewery, 15.5%. Maybe the best BA beer I’ve had. If you’re also a bourbon snob, this beer was aged in those rare orphan Buffalo trace/Wild Turkey barrels. Pretty cool

If you’re looking for a tasty winter IPA, I highly recommend Manhattan Project’s Frost - nice IPA with spruce tips in it (which I don’t know I would like so much)

Edit to note that I just read that they are starting distribution in Austin this week.

Cashmere IPA from Variant in Roswell, GA , as the Falcons get a first down on 2 consecutive plays.

at the OG houston craft brewery enjoying an elissa, their OG IPA

Love the Elissa and hard to find these days in any bars.  Except in Galveston where many of the restaurants and bars carry it due to a certain ship docked in the harbor.  The bartender at Willie G's pops me a top every time we sit down before I even ask.

Back of the beer fridge treasure (that I meant to drink 2 years ago). Still pretty nicely carbonated and tasting great. The bourbon notes are more mellow but the chocolatiness is more pronounced. Definitely doesn’t taste like 14.9% ABV.

2010-2015 was peak BCBS. those beers were incredible. the original BCBS Rare and King Henry may be the two best beers i’ve ever drank.
