My entire account base is in an Excel spreadsheet that I use all day, every day.  One of those sheets has contact info for all of the vendors we use.  I need their emails in there, but I'm never going to use them as a hyperlink to open an email from the spreadsheet. I do need to copy/paste them fairly regularly, and if I do that w/ an individual cell, it goes right back to a hyperlink as soon as I leave the cell.

tldr: I want to lock the spreadsheet as "Remove Hyperlink" for all of eternity.  Is there a way to do this?

Excel 2013 and Excel 2010:

Click on the File tab.

Click on the Options button at the bottom of the menu window.

Click on Proofing in the list on the left.

Click on the Autocorrect Options... button.

Click on the Autoformat As You Type tab.

Click to deselect (remove the tick from) the Internet and network paths with hyperlinksoption.

Click OK back out through the menus.
