They are completely out of de-icing fluid and are telling every inbound flight to return or divert elsewhere.

Count on the guy who lives in San Diego to tell us how things are doing at DFW airport, while citing no sources.

Is too late to delete this thread?

Why in heaven's name would you want to do that?!?!?

In a related note, guys, I heard San Diego is completely fucked and the LA Wildfires are creeping towards Arroyo Canyon

I am completely out of alcoholic fluid and am telling people to divert some of their supplies to my house.

Source was a buddy trying to get from LAX to DFW.  Said that was the explanation that the airline agent gave him for the delay.

Said that AA has cancelled 6 DFW flights in a row.

So you failed to consider the source, which was a bullshit airline excuse.

We try that shit on all flights inbound from California.

This is dfw right now. Usually there are lines of planes landing and taking off. So OP might not be totally wrong

Not sure I have ever seen anything quite like this.  Hardly anything is frozen, yet, but there's just inches of slush everywhere there's not traffic.

Tomorrow morning is gonna be an absolute shitshow, along with the overnight.

I just know one thing, I will not get turbo fucked tonight. Wife cooked chili. Shit is about to get real in casa de hookem. LFG! 🤘

Flying out of DFW in freezing conditions sucks.  They have like only two deicing trucks, and the dude spraying is reading the owners manual.  You can only pray because they never spray it like the do in Chicago or Denver.

I flew out of boston the day after christmas this year and the weather was right around freezing at takeoff. I was sitting exit row window so I had a pretty good vantage point of the guy attempting to de-ice our wings. I would estimate only 5% of the de-icing fluid made contact with the wing. It was like the dude was catching his first nut.
