We live in Amarillo and are needing a CT surgeon. Wife has a paracardial cyst that seems to be rearing it’s ugly head. She has had it for years and monitors it annually with an MRI. Seems it’s growing and causing issues, high bp being the biggest concern. She has a 3 hour cardiac MRI scheduled in February, that’s the soonest they could get her in. Doesn’t seem like any one in Amarillo wants to tackle the surgery. Looking for any help with recs, obviously looking like we will need to travel to get this removed. Been told they can drain it but it could just fill back up. Any help or recs?

She’s a hottie for sure, hard to tell from this angle.

Are you willing to travel to Houston? We know some of the best there.

@Fat Bastard knows the renowned ones at Texas Heart Institute in Houston and I know some of the ones at UT Houston. Most of my THI connections have retired or passed away. Wayne Dear, Grady Hallman, Denton Cooley...

You guys are awesome! Really appreciate the help. Would absolutely travel to wherever is needed. Not sure how to proceed, guessing get the results of the MRI in February and see what that shows. I am assuming the three hour MRI would be half with contrast and half without?

This can be tackled by any competent CT surgeon in any of the major medical centers. I sure as hell wouldn’t recommend getting it done in Amarillo, though. Houston, Dallas, Austin, SA you’ll be fine. I can give you a dozen recs in Houston if you’re interested. PM me if u want them. Good luck!

I'm fortunately/unfortunately not. Good luck @RMac5. You are in the right state for the care needed.
