Thank you for the biggest portal transfer for us and making this team better than it was before.

Yeah, I might’ve said you should be pulled for Arch but you balled out most of the time. Led us 2 years in a row to the final 4.

Sorry Sark screwed you. And sometimes you would contribute. But I still appreciate you. Hate you had to go out like this.

I am ready for the Arch era but thank you for all you did. We hate to love you and love to hate you.

Hook em, Quinn.

(If you wanna shit on him stay in the Quinn thread)

You are the first and last qb I will ever sign a petition for lol

He's exactly what we were begging for under charlie and turtle. Left big 12 with title. Back to back playoffs. Put Texas back into contention. Beat Aggie 49-0 ousux. Made Texas football fun again. Wish the very best for him.

Yeah I look forward to his progression under someone else who isn't making him constantly turn away from the defense and run slow developing plays he"s not suited for.

Quinn gave us all he had and we are light years better than we were when he arrived.

That Alabama game win in T town was a high water marker I still cherish. Thanks Quinn.

It’s really not the right thread for this. The kid gave us what he had.

Quinn was a good QB who put some big pelts on the wall:

@ Alabama

@ Michigan

Clemson

2 epic blowouts of ou

Etc.

And this program is in way better shape than when he got here.

Thanks, 3.

This

Kid played his heart out and I applaud him for that.

The fans that were trying to coronate him over Colt need to have a long look in the mirror.

I feel like the last play from him encapsulated his time. I appreciate what he's done. But he has never cleared the hill.

Take that to the other thread.

He was a huge part of turning this program around and I’ll always appreciate him. He’s not VY, but he was damn good and better than we’ve had in a long time. Hook ‘em Quinn!

He was good, but ultimately not good enough. An important player in changing the trend line of the program, and he left it all out on field.

Hook 'Em Quinn.

I don't fault Quinn he is a good dude who gave us his all. He was just constantly asked to do things that don't play to his strengths and I think that is a fair assessment and also not his fault...

I freaking love Quinn. Longhorn Legend. Good luck to him!

I love you Quinn.

I grew up in a household that cared above all about Texas football. I can relate to the pressure you’ve felt, always. There are many on the shag (bc fuck saying “the surl”) that dealt with otherworldly pressure to succeed throughout their “growth period”. You quite single-handedly brought us back to permanent relevance. Our fans will forever be grateful for you, even if they don’t have the balls to say so today.

Thank You Quinn Ewers!

He deserves our respect, gratitude and appreciation. Two top five finishes is nothing to be upset about. Hook em.

He got us from 5-7 to 8-5 and then 2 CFB semis in a row. I tip my cap to him. He has his flaws that we have all pointed out, but he literally put us within 1 score of each game to make itt to the finals. We won 13 games with 3 losses. I hope he will be welcomed bsck to campus whether he transfers or goes to the NFL.

Crazy to think we trotted Tyrone Swoopes out as a QB at this school.  Thanks Quinn!

Thanks Quinn. You brought us back.

Shit we trotted out Casey Thompson.  At least Tyrone is cool.

Sam was better with a lesser team around him. I guess that was “a long time ago”

you have plenty of threads to shit on with your idiotic takes, you don’t have to show your ass on all of them.

How are you still posting here?

Men will literally post on surly instead of go to therapy.

Thanks to Quinn. This guy worked with Sark and pulled this program from 5-7 to back-to-back Top 4 finishes. That's historical. Arch has his work cut out for him to continue that streak.

Best of luck to him in the NFL. I hope he does great things there and continues to represent us well.

I said it over in the other thread, but it applies more so here.  Sark got all the mileage he could from Quinn.  He did his part and did make us better.  Now it is time to pass the torch to the man up.  Good luck Q, we'll see ya' down the road somewhere.

PS.  If your mom gets lonely, you know how find me.

Delete post, ban user from thread. Go be an asshole somewhere else

I hope Quinn is wise enough not to give a fuck what our particular slice of fandom thinks about him.

I get why you don’t like Ewers. he’s the kinda guy to dive head first into a linebacker because he knows we need the yards. He’s not perfect, but he’s damned good and leaving it all on the field. You aren’t the kind of person to think through what that requires or how to adjust your expectations.

You’ve always struck me as being more of a Casey Thompson type of guy. Preening. Whining. Like you think you’ve done enough just by showing up, and if things don’t go right it must be someone else’s fault.

It’s not really your fault. You just weren’t raised right and maybe you don’t have any real friends. But if your brain is really reflected in the takes you post on this board, you should know that your point of view is not healthy, normal, or in step with how the world and people actually work.

Go fuck yourself.

Quinn has been a fantastic representative of our school and program. His strengths might align better with how the QB position was played a generation or two ago, but so what? Texas football is fully back on the map, and it's in large part due to him. He'll be respected by our fans more as time passes, regardless of what his football future holds.

You come across as a bitter and resentful dude...

Quinn brought us the first huge transfer in the portal. He brought us huge wins over Bama, aggy, ou, Michigan, and so many others. He got us a Big 12 title and a victory lap around that conference. He got us to the SEC championship game and two final fours. All fantastic and worthy of celebrating.

Most importantly he did it all without drama. Texas is a fishbowl and that particular position comes with more stress and heat than any other sports position on campus, across sports. And having Arch as second string would've torpedoed team chemistry with the wrong QB1. Quinn handled all of that with grace. He is leaving with a great reputation as a leader, a teammate, and as a great representative of UT. Hook 'em, Quinn. You're a certified badass motherfucker.

Thanks Quinn. Had a few great games. A lot of good ones.

Hope you figure out how to not move towards the big scary d lineman that are trying to tackle you.

Yes, appreciate you. Good luck in the NFL.

He’s Chris Simms reincarnate.

and there was over a DECADE where I would have killed to have a Chris Simms at Qb.
