January 25Jan 25 the twin was destroyed 0,1 in the girls singles final. Hopefully Keys puts up a better fight in the womens final later.

January 25Jan 25 Do not like that the announcers are about 2-3 seconds ahead of the action. You don’t notice except for when an announcer gets really excited and blurts something out before a point is finished or the great shot is made.

It’s only happened once or twice in this match and I have only noticed it a couple of other times I this tournament, but there is major excitement before it is warranted in comparison to the video and the crowd noise.
January 25Jan 25 O. M. G. !! Never thought that I would see Madison Keys keep her nerve to win a Grand Slam! Holy Shit! She’s hugging everyone.
January 25Jan 25 Every year I crack up that the head of Tennis Australia starts talking in her American accent. Jayne Hrdlicka, from Wichita, Kansas… as fucking Australian as it fucking gets!
January 25Jan 25 Sabalenka basically did a vaudeville act for her runner-up speech. “As usual, this was all your fault. I hate you…” More or less. She had about 4 to 6 cracks that were damned funny.

Pretty awesome She beat four Top 10 seeds (#10, #6, #2, & #1), plus Ukrainian Warrior MILF, Elina Svitolina, who is a former Top 5 player still building her ranking back up after time off to squeeze out a pup. I can’t recall a more impressive run for any female or male. May have to buy a Yonex. (I always loved them when Martina Navratilova used them.) Edited January 25Jan 25 by Napoleon

Good for her.
January 25Jan 25 Author Most important game of the match turned out to be Madi holding serve to avoid a breadstick at 1-5 in the 2nd. That forced Aryna to serve out the set, then Madi was up first in the decider. Aryna was chasing the whole time, zero BPs for either until the two CPs to end it.
January 26Jan 26 Author Siniakova/Townsend beat Hsieh/Ostapenko for the doubles title. Dudes up in an hour.
