So he's been on staffs with Choate, Saban, and Schiano and has Houston/Texas ties. Not going to act like this is some no-doubter but seems like it can work just fine to me.

My sweet Lord. Reading the thread since the Muschamp hiring is borderline exhausting. Some of the hawtest takes on this recruiting board, ever, on here between pages 45 and 48. I was quoting posts at

  • This is a Nansen hire. He was behind the surge last year to bring him on as an analyst. The plan to hire him has been in place for a while, and if Blake would have stayed and Terry still left they wou

And Notre Dame. Those two schools seem to just shit out TE'S, and I would probably add Stanford to the list, so three schools.

Having all those TE's on the field brings a lot of defenders into the box. That makes it really easy for the defense to hide, disguise their blitzers and coverages. They don't have to show anything. It also makes it easier to confuse an already struggling OL to have all those potential assignments in the box.  Everything about having multiple TE's on the field is stupid. Sark needs to recognize he doesn't have the personnel to run the offense he wants this season.

To be fair he’s probably only had it one year and that was with JT and Helm but neither are great blockers. 11 personnel should be the base this year 100%

Need a Bo Davis yelling at the players type coach

Aside from the obvious note that one is nearly 20 years younger than the other, Bobby pretending to not understand the reason why a group of college athletes might relate to Terry Joseph better than Duane Akina is a choice.

Give Bo Davis the budget that Baker has been given and I’d bet the results would be similar.

Relating to a coach due to his ethnicity is far less important than listening to the coach who has put a ton of players in the league.

Kerry Coombs had no issue relating to players.

The issue is Akina isn't getting these guys ready to play. Not seeing any big improvements year over year other than McDonald and that last game wasn't a great example of it.

D Williams has taken a major step back.

Maybe I'm misremembering, but Akina was known for being great at teaching man coverage, but being fucking abysmal at teaching zone. PK runs a ton of zone in his scheme.

Correct, which is why I was unhappy with his hiring.

Anyone else believe PK is leaving because he’s unhappy and/or believes Sark is leaving? There were rumors. The biggest telltale sign imo is 2027 recruiting.

I’m happily marinating in the fantasy that Sark moves onto the NFL this year and Freeman swoops in to take the reins.

This is how I learned he isn't black lol...that is a very black guy sounding name

We can have unlimited coaches now.  Hire Bo Davis to be the tough love coach

Why are not more of us calling for Banks' head?? I was in Athens. The look of disgust on Sark's face after the illegal shift penalty on a punt for the 100th time this season, nvm the costly penalty on the kickoff return by Niblett, getting out coached & schemed on the onside kick and countless critical dropped passed by our TEs all year. What f'ing gives? He's not even recruiting that well anymore. I'm sick of his s*^&. Looking at the ipad on the sideline in bewilderment after the fact and chants of pole assassin from their fans. F'n embarassing. He should be the first to go! smh

He also sealed the OU win and won us the Miss st and Kentucky games. As far as recruiting he doesn’t just recruit tight ends, he’s a volume recruiter involved in all of the big names.

Sark should hire Brandon Jones from Mizzou as OL Coach. They always have a sick run game and he's a long-time Texan

edit: actually, add their RB coach Curtis Luper too (another Texan). And maybe the OC. Just import their whole run game. Do it now while Drink is flirting with other jobs.

We need to get BO David back!!! we never had a problem with run defense once he established himself!!

Sark Make it happen.

I heard Mogen David is cheaper.

We're in this situation because of Bo Davis' lazy recruiting.

Also Justin Wilcox was fired by Cal. We should be trying everything we can to bring him on in some capacity.

He was DC for Sark at UW and USC. Earlier he had been Boise DC with PK as their DL coach.

Replace Flood, Milwee (what does he do? Only coach I have no clue what he looks like), we will see on Akina after this game.  It won't happen but get a real OC and Sark scripts first 10 then hand over each half.

Flood did great first year on getting talent. He had 4 years to get the next line ready and we have this... Bread and we continue to recruit bread projects. In the past two years we have one person that is OL semi ready in Brooks. Then all projects. Turntine included, he needs to gain 30-40 pounds of good weight to play and is really an IOL build. Lee was a huge miss.

To save next year, if Sark doesn't portal a bunch of OL we are in trouble. These 3* projects are a no-go. There are only 2 OL I keep in this class - Turntine after 2 years maybe he helps, Robertson - 1-2 years.

And poach some coaches from GT - I'd take their head coach too.

look guys, AJ Milwee is going to be pushed out about the time Sark stops calling plays

it isn't going to happen. stop talking about it. stop considering it.

If Lane doesn't retain Frank Wilson, would we go after him to replace Scott?  Probably gets you Harlem Berry.

I want the Mizzou OL and RB coach. They have an elite run game every year

Watching Bobby defend Akina knowing Akina is his best source of team info is hilarious. “He’s not the problem because it will hurt my site if he isn’t coaching next year!”

Akina was a bad hire. We knew it at the time and we know it watching his pass defense play like absolute dog shit given that he has no idea how to coach zone defense. He was run out of Arizona last year for having one of the worst pass defenses in college football and we decided to hire him for only God knows what reason.

Flood should get fired but I’m curious to see if Sark actually has the self awareness and courage to fire someone from his inner circle.

One or two coaches always get poached away because that is how it goes every year. Going to be an interesting offseason.

This would be amazing af. Maybe lands us Durham, too. I would take Berry and Durham over anyone we currently have, except for Wisner.

Hire the Mizzou OL coach and Frank Wilson and we're rolling. But it won't happen because Sark is too much of a pussy to fire anyone. He doesn't lack self-awareness, he lacks a spine.

He doesn't got that Saban IT factor unfortunately

Akina probably got hired because Sark was reportedly MIA during that post playoff month moreso than it being some Mackavellian plot

With Richard Anderson declaring so quickly after Kiffin's hiring that he's signing with LSU, I'd be shocked if Frank Wilson wasn't being retained.

A lot of LSU fans think Brad Davis can’t develop.  Highly rated recruits in, crap offensive lines out.  What did you see from their line this year that made you think he can coach OL better than Flood?  They could not run the ball against good teams.  3.6 ypc on the year.  That’s less than we had.  They got their QB beat up worse than Arch.
