December 9Dec 9 Here's my Flood hatred summed up. Most here have had or maybe still have jobs. If you are given 4-5 years to get something done, you make a choice. If it's implement SAP - get out asap. Probably will bankrupt the company anyway. Otherwise, your choice is can do this or can't but have a 4 or so year runway to find a landing spot. I'm assuming you can lie to the Board on progress - maybe 2yrs. Flood is an absolute disaster after his first year.

Hiring Juluke was about the only think Napier did right during his Florida tenure. And RB coaches aren't being judged based off of how many yards their players get. It is a recruiting and relationship role.

They should have been as good at the beginning of the year as they were and the end, and gotta better from there. We couldn’t figure out the front 5 until midway thru the season
December 9Dec 9 I'd say T. Becton did this with S&C. It took what? 8 games to get the correct personnel in? It's not extreme. Flood and his recruiting after y1 is a disaster. Can we run for 1 yard on a 4 and 1 without Arch? No person on the OL got better other than bigger and stronger.

RB Ja’Kobi Jackson - to UF out of Miss JUCO And many others at different positions out of the Pelican State … a few NFL draft picks Some of those others … S Grant Delpit - at LSU out of Houston Lamar WR Racey McMath - at LSU OT Saadiq Charles - at LSU out of Mississippi OT Caden Jones - to UF out of New Orleans QB DJ Lagway Adding RB Kenneth Dixon at La Tech Dixon became the all-time leader at Louisiana Tech with 53 rushing touchdowns and 3,410 career rushing.

Better recruiters are still winning more battles. Let’s not just fall prey to the $9.95er whines of “it’s only about NIL these days” as that is bullshit.

It’s also completely reductive to say recruiting is just about convincing someone to play for you. Evaluation is every bit as important if not more than the convincing part. December 9Dec 9 Convincing myself that this is the only staff move so far because the DB and OL hires are in the playoff. Get the Rutgers stench far away from this program

Nuance can be a thing for some people. I think the biggest issue with Flood was personnel management, when the pancake factory started, people (myself included) deluded themselves into thinking it would turn into the new standard with high 4 and 5 star talent. But after that it was back to normal and we still we deluded ourselves into thinking Flood would develop them, 2023 class? sure you go with projects, but the projects kept coming class after class and we had it all explode in our faces this year. We are now desperate for transfers and then pray that they can mesh quickly for our all-in season next year. Flood needs to go, I said it before but the best HC hires need an elective/minor in OL because Sark should have seen it coming as well.

Let’s not just fall prey to the $9.95er whines of “it’s only about NIL these days” as that is bullshit. I agree with this. But I also believe being able to develop your guys along with the baseline recruiting edge provided by NIL the at Texas is more valuable than just being a rainmaker as was the thought in the pre-NIL recruiting landscape. It’s a spectrum, but the development side is something that Choice provided that really stood out to me.

December 10Dec 10 Why should I be excited about this Jabbar guy? Serious question. Also, why is everyone here so in love with Baugh? 5.3 ypc isn't much better than Wisner's 4.6 behind the worst line in the SEC. His longest carry on the year was 26 yards..

He has a better YPC than Lacy and I would 100% take Lacy and his 20TDs over him. Baugh is a strong runner and the 3rd leading rusher in the SEC. Hes not our best option but he is a solid upgrade.

That's like saying "so and so shot 50% from the field, which isn't much better than so and so shooting 40%".
