It is close to 100% certainty that Anwar would be used in a raise play by an agent trying to get his client an extension after a CFP Championship appearance. The fun fact is that the morons at orangebloods will gobble this shit up in the same hog traugh that ketchum both eats and serves them inÂ
February 11Feb 11 Per Bobby after speaking with someone close to the ND program:  As of this morning ND does not know what Mike Micken has decided or will decide at this time. There is "some level of concern" at ND regarding Texas potentially hiring him away.  Sounds kind of promising?

February 11Feb 11 Found this from a ND fan on Reddit  In the comment section of this post the general feeling was that if he was passed over for the DC job that the likelihood of him staying there is slim.   Edited February 11Feb 11 by BurntOrange&White
February 13Feb 13 Anwar reporting Mark Orphey from Rutgers will be the new safeties coach. Don’t see a tweet from him but he posted it on the site. Edited February 13Feb 13 by Hookem2147

February 13Feb 13 He's from Texas and has the Montana State and Bama background, but in terms of performance... feels like a stretch. Baker seems to working out though, so who knows.
February 13Feb 13 Dang I was excited about Mickens, but knew that it was a long shot. I think Freeman is as well liked in the coaching community as Sark.

February 13Feb 13 Also, fuck you for getting me excited about Mickens exactly two posts before Coach Opies hire.

Not impressed with this one, but there have been plenty of coaches I'm unimpressed with that end up being spectacular. Heck, for a while there Pete Kwiatkowski seemed like a big mistake. I was completely wrong there. Now I'm ecstatic we have him.Â

February 13Feb 13 FCB got a quote from Choate on Orphey "Sharp, low-ego, high-output guy," Choate told Horns247 on Wednesday night in regards to Orphey. "Works at developing relationships with recruits and their parents. He'd taken chances to move his career forward. Great person, and I know he is happy to be back in Texas!"

February 13Feb 13 Lots of folks here shit-talked Anwar on this name a couple of days ago. I'm no Amwar defender - just an observation. New guy is a North Shore alum. Maybe that pays off in recruiting.
February 13Feb 13 Someone talk me off the ledge. Semms underwhelming, but that may be because I wanted Mickens. How well does he recruit and deceloo😌? Rutgers meh

February 13Feb 13 https://rutgers.rivals.com/news/rutgers-football-cbs-coach-mark-orphey-set-to-join-texas-coaching-staff Quote In his three seasons at the helm of Rutgers' cornerbacks, Orphey helped develop several cornerbacks into standout Big Ten players, including current Arizona Cardinal Max Melton along with now-former Scarlet Knights Robert Longerbeam and Eric Rogers. Current Jaguar Christian Braswell also earned All-Big Ten Honorable Mention in Orphey's first season in 2022. Â Â

February 13Feb 13 Schiano is a good defensive coach to learn from. It should also be pointed out that Schiano is pretty hands on with coaching his DBs and came up as a DB coach, so our new guy may not deserve ALL the credit for developing those pros
February 13Feb 13 Eww...he feel jiAggish? He was a teammate of Chykie Brown. Let's see what the players say about him. Maybe we should have gone ahead and brought back Akina instead of this guy.  Edited February 13Feb 13 by RollLeft
