Our oline was massively overrated

Tough to tell given their disadvantage with our lack of a QB run threat

I still think its weird this is the same Will Howard that played at KSU. He was good but never thought of him as National Champ good. Guess it helps to be surrounded by stout af players that go three deep.

It's not tough to tell, not tough at all.

ND with the ball for ~10 min of Q1. That’s how they can win against a more talented team (on paper), but you have to only win once.

Hook’em!!!

Notre Dame is playing vanilla AF on defense.  Maybe it's by design, but it seems like they are 'playing catch' a lot, as opposed to attacking the offense.

I mean, they play man defense like 80% of the time. Only so much variety you can have with that.

For the record, ND just ran more plays than we had on our first three drives combined.

Pretty sure they won't bring the corner blitz in the buckeyes end of the field with 30 seconds left in the half either.

For all the fuckers that were like "we should just throw it 40 times." You just saw why establishing a run game is such a big deal.

It's completely demoralizing to an opposing defense. Sad what the OL became against elite competition.

No shit, but some of us have up on the run game because well in big games sark can’t get that done.

I love that we get to hear all night that osu chose to use smith as a decoy.  He just chose to be selfless to let other guys be the stars.

#321

That was a sark play wasn't it?  Seems like Devonta Smith used to run that fake orbit motion and then reverse back out to the flat.

I mean gray could have stayed and covered him like he lined up to do??

Yeah wtf was that

Right!   He’s freaking out and pointing to him, then breaks inside.

Jump up and down and point at the guy getting the ball then run as far as you can away from him. Lol

Only two commercial breaks in the first quarter due to the lengthy drives.

That means they’ll have to squeeze in five or six in during the 2nd.

yep.  this game has to last at least 3.5 hours.

I think OSU is going to be able to reproduce their first drive more often than ND can reproduce theirs.

OSU marched right down the field the first drive on us too.  But yeah, probably you're right.

ND is in trouble if they have to punt.

ND is probably in trouble period.  That first drive was impressive but it was WAAAAY too much work.  Eventually, 4th down conversion clock runs out on you.

these mfkers. they said jsmith was happy to take all the attention in the Texas game so everyone else can get theirs. 🤣 should just say that Texas defense held him in check and he wants to have a great game today.

That has nothing to do with their terrible run blocking.

We only brought 4.

Yeah not really, our OL sucked donkey twat in the biggest games.

Let it go, it was a braindead defensive call no matter the numbers, we did something nonstandard and brought a guy from the secondary when a standard defense told to look for a draw or screen (what everybody loves to do in those situations) would have been fine.

#345

Still just infuriating we had to shoot ourselves in the dick and waste this years defense to watch these two pedestrian QBs duke it out without all the idiotbox problems on offense that plague us.

OSU had 20% of their O on one play.  that game was there to win but for 2 complete fucking brain farts by our coaches.

Happens in all the big games.
