I will be shocked if Sark makes it a staple of the offense. The opposition knows Arch is a capable runner. The scouting report alone will likely keep the backside from crashing on action away. I get your point about him being the constraint on the opposing defense, but I doubt Sark will even care vs teams like SJSU, UTEP, SHST, UK, MSU, Vandy, etc. If Sark needs to use Arch in those games, things have not gone near expectations. Its a risk/reward thing.

Both ways, the QB run absolutely needs to happen at least a couple of times a quarter to keep it fresh in the Ds' minds. I would think, with Sark's gift - and love - for misdirection, we'll see some formations with no real possibility of the QB running... and he'll run. I think Herman called it "go fuck yourself", but Sark is classier than that, and will probably call it "DAMMIT!" I think Sark's gonna call a lot of "go fuck yourself" with Baxter and "DAMMIT!" with Arch as well. He's too smart and careful with QBs to pull a full MENSA, but he even ran Ewers quite a bit on tight 3rd and 4th downs and near the goal line. Also as good as Quinn was "off platform" he wasn't running much sprint out passes. I think Arch is gonna do that a bunch, move the pocket and get tricky there. Then you've got WR orbit motion one way, play action the other way, QB roll out the other way, and pass-back screen to the TE on the front-back-front-back side that the line is sliding away from with a pulling backside/frontside guard leading the way. "the touchdown play" will hopefully not be that goddamn fake screen one way spin around fake screen the other way then throw deep anymore. That shit sucked on the setup and on the payoff every time.

March 13Mar 13 Not to get all CR but I'm surprised that how "ProhiBet" is being deployed is constitutional.
March 13Mar 13 Wingo's older brother Ronnie is featured and interviewed on an episode of Murder Under the Friday Night Lights on ID. His roommate/best friend, a STL area high school football coach, was murdered a few years back.

They sign deals with both the Operators (book) and the leagues (Teams) to do the cross walk. As long as the data collected and shared by the book and the data collected and shared by the Teams is within their policy and use rights, seems like it's a ok. March 13Mar 13 Seems like it could be an unreasonable search and seizure. I'm sure there's fine print that supposedly warns the bettor their data could be used, but if it's being used by law enforcement, what probable cause was there? And what right did the school have to it?

March 14Mar 14 In “wait, what?” news, IT says Christian Clark was cleared two weeks ago. And he will take part in spring practice but probably won’t be a full participant. Wait, what? That doesn’t happen with Achilles injuries.
March 14Mar 14 How many times did we watch Garrett Gilbert squinting at the sideline, trying to figure out how many fingers coach was holding up?

I know it happens much less often than ACLs but those aren’t really a setback anymore outside of recovery time. achilles seems to be more devastating.

Vince owned the quick dash to the sidelines for a ten yard gain. Often he'd grab an additional five or ten and sometimes 30 or 40. But the ten yarder is the key to keeping Arch healthy and keeping the Defense off-balance. If they can shut it down, they're leaving a devastating RB/WR open. If Sark only uses it once or twice a game, he'll be hamstringing the offense. Let's see Arch moving out of the pocket and finding one of our speedsters five yards behind the defender. Easy Capisi. Conference title coming up.
March 14Mar 14 vince is the best college football player in history. maybe wait until arch accomplishes something before mentioning them in the same sentence.

That's not very Texas offseason of you He's going to be a combo of VY and Cam Newton, leading us to 3 TD blowouts of every team we face, ending with a 40 point win over Notre Dame in the CFP title game, when he throws for 3 TDs and runs for 2. March 14Mar 14 Eye exam isn’t part of a semi-annual or annual physical on campus? That was how I found out in Jr High that I needed glasses, as my Dad standing 10’ behind me said, “seriously Son you can’t read that line?”. I’d always sat up close/front of classrooms to read the chalk/white board in the early ‘80s. MFG SETX and the humidity, even wearing contacts, getting out of an air conditioned car made my eyes fog up until blinking multiple times. Sunglasses/glasses were wiped off 20+ a day!LASIK was my first “selfish” expenditure once married. Living in SWLA, post Army required it! Hell my carport driveway in Lake Charles would sweat the humidity was so high.Hook’em!!!
March 14Mar 14 Bobby's statement that some think the surgery will help with 50/50 balls just sounds dumb to me. I’m no optometrist, per se, but I would imagine being able to see clearly would help with catching a football. That will be $9.95 please.

Its typically career ending for RBs, but most of the data Ive found involves guys on the later part of their career. Clark is only 19 so maybe he can heal better. Cam Akers tore his in 2021 then came back in 2022 with 786 yards. Different sport https://bleacherreport.com/articles/1856278-timeline-of-kobe-bryants-return-from-devastating-achilles-injury

That 65-yarder Manning put up early on - nobody could catch him. That's fast. Vince - everyone knew he was gonna run that ball into the end zone against USC. He just dropped back and his instincts took over. Coulda used some of that in our final game the last two years. A quick burn into the end zone and we take a Natty. Ten fucking yards (or so). Sorta just did some math. A sprinter runs at about 7 yards per second. The defender brain's reaction time is a quarter sec. Probably takes at least a half second? for him to get rolling. If that's true, it's about five yards before the defender's doing shit. Manning's quick. Vince was quick. Edited March 15Mar 15 by Irish Wrist Watch
