April 27Apr 27 Bobby Some notes from yesterday: - Defensive lineman Alex January was said to have a standout day. - Ryan Wingo and Arch Manning connected on the longest pass play of the day. - There were six would-be sacks across the three different offensive levels (1st, 2nd and 3rd teams). Texas does not allow for the QB to sacked. - The Horns worked Arch Manning some in the run game. - Defensive end Lance Jackson was singled out for his play yesterday. - Trey Owens held off KJ Lacey all the way through camp for the back-up spot and that remains the case as practice ended yesterday. - Daniel Cruz has seen extended action with the 2s at center. There will be more that we hear over the next 24-48 hours that we will pass along. **

I think Sark gave the media one 20 minute window that he cancelled at the last second. It’s cool that they had the fan event, but man I miss the spring game and open practices.

Unless Sark improves in the red zone, any claim he’s one of the top handful of play callers in the country is nonsense. Has to do better. I don’t care how many yards we rack up between the 20s

Arch might have to really use his mobility against Ohio St. Good news is the Cam Williams free fall in the draft is a giant red flag to the Goosby family that the NFL wants to see more than 1 year of tape. I'll be shocked if Arch doesn't have his left tackle for both of his starting seasons here.

I dont think you can make a cookie cutter statement on these things. Goosby has the length and movement ability to be a 1st round guy. He needs some work though, especially in the run game.
April 28Apr 28 Okay everyone. I need your help. @immamac isn't speaking to me since I lost the Burnt Endz money when Bibi Hadid refused to return our deposit when Fyre Fest 2 was cancelled. But I think I have a solution. We have an opportunity to purchase the Fyre branding rights! Yes, after the Fyre 2 fiasco, Billy McFarland has given up trying to hold the festival and is selling the brand. Rebranding Fyre Fest as Surly Fest, a multi-media, sports, arts and music festival is the kind of thing that could take Surly Horns to the next level. I'm talking IPO, private equity, all of us becoming multi-millionaires. I just need $80K from all of you to pay the company back for Bibi's theft, plus an additional $1M to purchase the brand. Buying shares in this venture will set you up for life, guaranteed! Who's with me?

Doesn’t seem to have the finesse of the position, doesn’t really know how big and strong he is, just latches on and does what he wants most of the time. Looking forward to see him play more.

It's the data that says QBs that enter the NFL with under 25 starts have a low success rate. They made it clear they're aiming for 25+ starts of development.

When you're getting paid big money to play in college and develop, why take the risk? Especially when you just saw your teammate leave early and screw himself big time.
April 28Apr 28 E-Bus is running AND he's getting NIL so he can afford Uber. This doesn't bode well for his career here.

April 28Apr 28 If he blew 0.00, it makes me wonder why he was pulled over in the first place. And if a butthurt cop decided he wanted to bag a Longhorn athlete and didn't care for what. Doesn't excuse driving around with a vape pen, but Christ, someone had an attitude that night.
April 28Apr 28 I don’t know anything about possession laws and the like, but couldn’t representation argue someone (not Brooks) who had been in the truck owned the pen, and it likely fell from their pocket without Nick’s knowledge? Or does the simple fact the pen is in Brooks’ truck a cut and dried case that means he is in violation of the law?

That would be some magic bullet-like physics to achieve.

If the contraband is in plain view/easily accessible in the vehicle, then you are in possession.

April 28Apr 28 I am going to guess the lesson here is going to be - if the officer asks if he has your consent for a search - you answer No. I am sure it will be a fun story of how we got from being pulled over for speeding to getting either a search of your body or a .000 breath test reading.
April 28Apr 28 Shouldn’t have gave consent to search. Shoulda blew, then took his speeding ticket and carried on.
April 28Apr 28 DUI aspect of that is getting expunged. Possession is a big meh. Black guy in Texas though so who knows could end up in El Salvador Edited April 28Apr 28 by Hank_Hill
