There remain days over at Denius practice fields for sand work in the sand and some light hill work.

Good to know we are doing sand work in the sand. This is cutting edge stuff and the staff continues to impress.

Did he mention where we are doing the hill work?

Who the fuck is Cosmo Palmieri? That sounds like a Scooby Doo villain.

He was a walk-on receiver forever ago. Like maybe under McWilliams.

Cosmo? Leo G. Carroll was over a barrel when Tarantula took to the hills.

Wait, it's possible I'm a bit confused here . . .

Appears to be a baller winning at life and in real estate. Played more than 30 years ago, not a giant contributor, but I’m sure he busted his ass. And he did have at least this sweet moment in the sun.

I was at that game with a bunch of my friends. We went to HEB and got a bunch of $5 endzone tickets. Still amazed that was once something you could do.

Mid-Late 80s and early 90s were such a great time to watch a Longhorn football game.

Aside from the lack of winning, of course.

I pulled up the stats for that game. We won 32-0 and our leading receiver was Curtis Thrift with 3 catches for 27 yards. Hadnot had a 52 yard TD run, which I do not remember.

I was thinking some character from the movie "Casino". Like maybe the guy that delivers the bags with the money from the skim.

That’s exactly how my Dad and I had done the ‘95 Virginia (Phil Dawson) game vs The Babers Brothers.

We knew the kick was straight enough, but it was into a stiff wind.

I was in the endzone behind the play. I remember it because from my perspective it was hilarious. Hadnot got the ball and a giant hole opened right in the middle of the line and he seemed to just run untouched for a TD. It looked like the easiest TD ever scored from where I was sitting.

But the main thing about that game is the defense just kicked the crap out of TCU that day including a pick six. The offense was, as it was the entire season, total garbage mostly.

Included (somewhere) on my mental list of things I want to see this season is what happens (or doesn’t) with that guy, lol.

I hope with my entire being that Livingstone scores the first TD of the season. This place will go all the way to 11.

Then, directly following, Satya will write his newest exposé on why Texas is screwed, CTJ will pass out from the sheer emotional dissonance of the entire experience, and SydneyCarton will give us one of the most amusing and memorable recaps of the event in this site's entire existence.

In short:

He's already my favorite player on the team.  I want to see this place explode when he goes all the way against Ohio State.

Looks ready to be in a Linklater movie

That defense is one of the most unsung defenses Texas ever fielded. The DL was astounding. It's amazing how terrible the offense was.

It’s late and I’m a bit slow witted (more than usual). What’s the context? And if you’re looking for an action shot from that mountain, you’ve got a long way to go to beat (hehe) the handjob administered by one sweet young lass to a grateful fellow several years ago that a game broadcast (maybe Texas at UTEP) lingered on for a really long time. I think the color commentator even circled it with the telestrator.

Here it is:

That guy was a Mormon.

It’s alright to be little bitty, unless you’re a turbohyped jagger who turns around and goes 4 for 47 across 16 games for a season. We’ve got a Matt Davis clone on our hands, folks. Your basic Jeremy Jones. Courtnee Garcia is going to question his production.

It was a great defense, terrible offense, horrific kicking.

We lost 3 games that year just because of missed FG's. 10-22 on the year, with 3 missed XP's.
