I was there for the 22 inning win against the dodgers in 89 in the Dome. This was crazier than that shit.

Nice gritty win last night.  Bats are going to be woke today and we're going to beat the shit out of these scrubs.

Cole throws a 7 inning shut out, leaves the bases clear and gets a no-decision.

The boys owe him...they usually pay their debts.

The bright side is that we can't possibly be any more worse at the plate today, so there's that. Win the series boys

Gerrit Cole is just filthy.  So nasty.  Wish he could have gotten the W, but if he keeps pitching this way there will be many, many W's for him the rest of the season.

People still care about pitcher "wins?"

I’m sure pitchers do

Hosmer is getting shit for it, but that should have been an easy catch for the pitcher.  I know the catcher was supposed to stay at home because of the runner or else it would have been his, but Hosmer had the most ground to cover to get to it out of the 3.  The main reason he missed it was because he had to come in so fast that he overran it.  On a popup like that, it's easier to catch when you are already under it and not charging in.

I like the visual of Hosmer running top speed with the ball landing several feet behind him.

Ill be there today to see our bats wake up.

The pitcher never fields a pop up

I blame the catcher

Who knows how the game ends up of someone catches that, but if we end up getting homefield by a game I’ll be looking back at this game

Yeah. it's the pticher's jon to get the hell out of the way. There were 2 outs and that was the catchers play.

Can't wait for today's game. Morton time. Get the bats going

It is still a certain measure of success.

Besides, at the end of the season , someone's gonna have to decide which of these 5 guys gets the Cy Young...

Cy Young voters do, though probably not as much as they used to.

Let’s salt this one away long before the 10th.

1 Pitch, 1 Out.

1 Strikeout. 2 Outs.

Strikeout # 2 and we're at bat.

Morton looks pretty good so far.

What a nice efficient inning from Charlie to start the game.

I'm surprised the roof is open although I guess it would be cold in the building either way

Could be a long day if the hitters continue to swing at 6 balls per AB.

Well at least we are getting our hitting slump out of the way early again while the pitching is healthy. Just like last year.

Fisher getting the infield single to start the avalanche.

I'm pretty sure if the Astros went up their with the bat on their shoulders, Ross would walk 2-3 of them.
