Brad Lidge on the radio this afternoon - "The Call didn't change the outcome because the Astros would have just kept Charlie Morton in longer and thus given up more runs (than 8.)"

Two Diamond Club tickets available for the Sunday night game.  Free.  Need to pick them up from me in 77027. Rules: Poster must be a big contributor to this thread/last years shag thread.  No gue

makes no sense.  if anything, you could say porcello wouldn't have lasted as long, but i don't see how it affects morton at all.

i like the idea of getting jake out there for a verlander game.  when he's on, he induces weak fly balls.  we saw last night what outfield defense can do.  i also like the idea of having reddick as a lefty off the bench.

Plus Jake will get a 2 out 2nd inning HR when Boston gets aggressive going after him ahead of Bregs

If there's one thing Brad Lidge knows, it's giving up runs in the playoffs.  I'll defer to the guru, here.

When Brad Lidge overstays his welcome, just say "Albert Pujols is on his way over."

CC in the 4 hole, interesting.

I think he has turned a corner.  His swing looked a lot better last night.  He has started hitting with some pop again.  I don't expect him to turn on one and bounce it off the train tracks just yet, but he's heading in the right direction and isn't taking timid, 3/4 speed swings anymore.

Of all the Astros players ever, he's the only one that actually had a hand in putting something into orbit.

Stick him in the nosebleeds away from the field of play. Apparently Joe West assumes people are going to make catches into the stands and being in their way is somehow interference.

Build the wall.

Was it consensual?

Jake will K in his first 3 PA on nine consecutive swinging strikes and then hit a 450 ft bomb to walk it off in the ninth

Kemp over Reddick is interesting

I don’t like switching lineups every game, seems like a panic move instead of sticking with what won you a title. But whatever let’s go!

I guess we mostly had a standard playoff lineup last year but in the regular season we changed it up all the time.

love the lineup; it's about time hinch listened to me and moved correa back up.

We gonna go 1-0 three times in a row starting tonight.

Keuchel a game 7 hero LOL!!

Do you guys know we traded for Verlander with only 2 seconds left before the deadline?  Holy shit!

Everybody literally love Justin Verlander, and we'll be fine.

So many walks and hbp this series after being ahead 0-2

And with 2 outs.

let's jump on them early.  swings those bats with a purpose tonight boys

Not in the hole 0-2 to start off the game is an improvement

heading to the bottom of the first scoreless?  i've been wondering what this feels like.  i like it.

Maybe we put THEM in a 2-0 hole

We're going to fuck price up

Same pitch was called a ball when JV was pitching

yikes.  if price gets that strike 1 to altuve pitch, we're in deep shit.

"Narrowly missed a home run last night."

That's one way to say it.

"Got fucking cheated on one of the worst calls in baseball history" is a better way to say it.

Think he was referring to his second AB off the wall in left.

"Narrowly missed a home run last night but Betts almost greatest catch ever prevented it

Price's zone is larger than Verlander's early.
