Found an amazing holy shit subreddit.

Felling trees is for the professionals.

My aunt had a mismanaged tree on her property. Instead of hiring professionals, she asked her landscaper to take it down. The landscaper brought his brother and 15 YO son to help. No PPE, no training, the wrong tools, lots of machismo. Well, the son stood under the tree and got hit by a falling branch. A week and 3 surgeries later, he died.

Me and @NorthLoop agree. I nearly impaled my skull on a jackberry stump while yrying to bring down a dead tree.

That thing irritates me.  It's a replica space shuttle.  When the shuttle program was retired, they placed one of the shuttles in California in 2011, as a political bone to throw California.  So Los Angeles, which is not central to the space program, got the shuttle, while Houston, which was mission control for all space shuttle missions, and has existing infrastructure, money, and a space program museum, got the fabricated replica.  So ridiculous.

I think that is the non-functional glide model that was used in early testing prior to the “real” shuttles actual launching.
California was the secondary landing site for a few of the shuttle missions, so I do not begrudge them for the one they received.
The real shuttle in New York City is the one that should’ve been presented to NASA in Clear Lake. NYC had no major physical connection to the shuttle program.
That presidential decision was obviously a cheap shot political snub of Texas.

We take an annual ski trip and the lift always scares me a bit.

Too many times it takes an uncomfortably large bump. And too many times the lift just stops for a few to 15 minutes.

Meh.  Don't care about the sourcing from all over the country.

And you're right.  The one in NYC is particularly egregious.

Yup. Fuck that rental bitch. I've seen life threatening situations over and over at Travis, PK, Joe Pool, Whitney, Richland Chambers, Nasty Water, and on and on.

Got rammed by a turd in his rental pontoon who had no idea what he was doing while I was tied up at the end of this dock.

"Is that a bunch of boats tied up with kids swimming around? They'll think I'm awesome if I uncontrollably haul ass past on my rental ski!"

Same 35 year old "adults" that drive around blaring music because they stopped growing up at 17. Fuck those poors. There aren't many situations I will risk my future to fuck you up, but that is one of them.
