When Georgetown Prep sends its people, they're not sending their best. They're not sending you. They're sending people that have lots of problems, and they're bringing those problems with us. They're

  • In 2016 I was a moderate.  Socially liberal, fiscally conservative, but not quite a libertarian.  I would have considered voting for Kasich had he won the nomination. Now?  I will probably never

Lindsey Graham said it. Explicitly. It wasn’t veiled.

yeah, that was a pretty stupid comment for him to make.

Let's see if she flashes her white power sign now.

Kavanaugh looks nervous as fuck.

If he did do this or honestly doesn't remember this happening, if he would have come out and said I did it, I drank too much and behaved in a manner I"m not proud of and regret it to this day. He would be confirmed no problem.

Yes. Well he didn't support them but he believed that it was within the rights of States to impose poll taxes.

Which may well have been a fully appropriate legal position.  I don't remember this and am not going to get dragged into a legal debate on the point, since it has absolutely nothing to do with Kavanaugh's nomination hearing.

It runs in the family.

Make sure you get your nameplate positioned just right, Brett.

Yep. He shouldn’t be because we should take sexual assault much more seriously but if he did that Republicans would vote him up as soon as he finished the sentence

Not excusing his behavior, but the dude is trying to get re-elected from what amounts to Trumpville and re-election imminent.  Playing both sides is dangerous, but his political career is sunk if he doesn't bitch out like this.

This is going to be very interesting.

He's going with being indignant at the thought of being accused?

Noticed that. He maybe wondering if his entire career could end today.

Dumb as fuck to act mad though.

not even in wildest dreams could he have envisioned that his antics at age 15 or 16 would become global news.  What a surreal existence he must be feeling for the last few weeks.

6 Republicans voted no.

Yup.  And lest people say the Dems would have blocked any conservative: Scalia sailed through barely a year before.

He's trying the case instead of giving his personal experience.   Bad move, IMO.

he pissed.  interesting strategy.

Yelling your statement is not a good look.

honestly, it is this easy. "i don't remember the incident in question, but i did have a bit of a wild streak in high school. i apologize for anything i did, and for dr ford's feelings in this matter. what she said i did seems to have caused long term pain for her, and i regret that i had that impression on her. i've subsequently learned that being an immature high school student would not advance my collegiate or professional goals."

fin. supreme court justice kavanaugh.

Oh this is the wrong strategy Bart. Dems are going to tear him apart if he wants to be indignant

off to the yacht club after this

Oh you’re trying to hard bud. The key to pretending to be upset is nuance.

This is certainly becoming of a Supreme Court Justice.  He might as well call her a lying bitch.

His angry face makes him look like how I imagine a rapist would look.

THIS IS MY STATEMENT.  I WROTE IT. ALL THESE WORDS ARE MINE.  ATTEMPT NO MORE DELAYS OF MY CONFIRMATION.

Eat shit, Brett.

Take your mad, rapey ass on home.

Bold strategy, Cotton.

this is not going to work.

calling the confirmation process a "national disgrace" is going to leave a mark. just not where he thinks.

also interesting for someone being nominated to the SCOTUS to be so emotional.
