Do liberal activist bullies usually put their devious plans in motion by telling therapists about traumatic childhood events six years before the accused is nominated for a prominent political appointment?

Being nominated for a federal judge and circuit court of appeals is pretty prominent.

The FBI investigates federal crimes.  The investigative agency for this crime is the state of Maryland.  Professor Ford should take her case to the state of Maryland, not the Senate Judiciary Committee.

Moreover, there’s risk here for the democrats.  If Dr. Ford turns out to be a complete fraud, they will pay a high political price.
The democrats have hitched their wagon to the credibility of Dr. Ford.  Do you think they would do that without vetting her allegations or candor?

Yes, they’re desperate.

It's not even close to being as widely known. She probably didn't even know he was a judge six years ago.

The reporting I have read says otherwise.

They are not asking the FBI to investigate the crime. They want the FBI to talk to witnesses as part of their background check on Kavanaugh.

Props on the long game, Dems.

Well done going minority report on him.

In this forum she's not a complainant; she's a witness in a confirmation hearing.  Witnesses in a confirmation hearing are not in charge of background checks.  They provide testimony in hearings.  That's it.

You state that as undisputed fact

I wonder why Ford had all of her social media scrubbed.
Maybe cause she's getting death threats? Are you that dumb?

So the lie detector test was given in her lawyers office, by her lawyer.

That's why there is immense political pressure on the Republicans and the White House to re-open the investigation.

This is a masterful job of putting political pressure on the party in power.

Hill was a federal employee. Thomas was her boss. FBI had every reason to investigate it.
Not even close to the same situation here.

The FBI doesn’t investigate sexual harassment in the federal workplace. Their investigation was part of their background check on Thomas. This also applies to whomever said up thread that this would be a state crime and SOL has run etc.

No, her lawyer did not perform the polygraph. That's silly.

New information has come to light.  Remember when the Hillary investigation was closed and then reopened? Same kinda deal here.

Just because the FBI completed background on Kavanaugh, doesn’t mean they accounted for this attempted rape allegation.

The fact that Dr. Ford is asking the FBI to investigate indicates this event wasn’t scrutinized in prior investigations.

Or maybe it never really happened. Supposedly, there was one other person in the room,. Say the FBI calls him and he says that it never happened. End of investigation unless you want the FBI to get a high school yearbook and call everyone in it?

And to answer your question about the dems vetting her first? No they probably didn't because they don't care about her. They only care about delaying the vote and it doesn't matter if she is telling the truth or not..

.

I heard she did this to Gorsuch and I heard she scrubbed FB prior to Monday...

Ford said she told no one of the incident in any detail until 2012, when she was in couples therapy with her husband. The therapist’s notes, portions of which were provided by Ford and reviewed by The Washington Post, do not mention Kavanaugh’s name but say she reported that she was attacked by students “from an elitist boys’ school” who went on to become “highly respected and high-ranking members of society in Washington.” The notes say four boys were involved, a discrepancy Ford says was an error on the therapist’s part. Ford said there were four boys at the party but only two in the room.

In an interview, her husband, Russell Ford, said that in the 2012 sessions, she recounted being trapped in a room with two drunken boys, one of whom pinned her to a bed, molested her and prevented her from screaming. He said he recalled that his wife used Kavanaugh’s last name and voiced concern that Kavanaugh — then a federal judge — might one day be nominated to the Supreme Court.

He was clearly asking Atticus for a link on the social media scrubbing (it's the prior post).

No, I heard it had been scrubbed prior to the letter being released

Oh hey I’m about to go chin first into a sexual assault controversy with enormous political implications, so I definitely want to keep all my personally identifying social media content up where proud boys and Qanon types can see it.

Lol. There are persons saying they heard about it back when it allegedly happened.

Why has this woman backtracked from her commitment to testify before the committee? She is conveniently hiding and trying to escape the heat, scrutiny and scorn that such a flimsy accusation deserves.

This is about Merrick Garland and political payback. Mitch McConnell is getting his just desserts.

A clear politically motivated smear job against a man who has never shown a pattern of such behavior. An accusation that could never be proven and no justice to be meted out. I’m waiting for her to recant.

Yeah, I'm not sure why the GOP thinks that calling the Dems out for playing politics and getting dirty is supposed to be an insult. They refused to confirm Garland just because they could.  What, only one side gets to play the game?  You guys are going to be really upset if Dems get control and try to add a few more justices to pack the court.

I never said it was. If you bothered reading the post I was responding to, you would notice that a poster claimed the only investigation the FBI could do would be to talk to the other male alleged to be involved., and then shut it down. I was pointing out that there were persons who allege they heard about it then.  Hope that helps.

Hope that helps.

Yes they did refuse to confirm because they could do so because they had the power to do so. If the Democrats had the power to do the same to Kavanaugh so be it. Bully on them. The Republicans didn’t pull out some flimsy accusation to hurl shit against the wall.

Did you not go to high school? DrFord could not have talked about it with anyone and there would surely be whispers, originating from others at part y or even Kavanaugh and Judge.
