Not really trivial, but this is as good a place to drop it as any:   My son has a SATB2 gene mutation which has left him with a severe speech delay.  He didn't say "Mama" until he was 7 (he'

When your wife tells you to sit down we need to talk, right after you get home from a work trip and you're thinking, "great what the hell did I do wrong", and then she pulls out a positive pregnancy t

Agreed, although I would tweak it and the feel after a fresh claybar and wax.

Rumbles of thunder and seeing lightning on the horizon.

The smell of a spring thunderstorm.

People in general.

Oops. Wrong thread. I actually hate people

A day like today, not too cold, not too warm. Overcast. Very little wind.

Scratching my nuts, even when they’re not that itchy.

Hearing my kid laugh uncontrollably at me for exactly the same thing that I laughed at my Dad for.

So tonight I stole the grape flavored PEZ candy from my kids.

Best flavor yet. Probably approaches meth or crack. Must acquire more.

When my server makes eye contact with me and just a simple head nod to bring another beer while they're walking through the section on the way to another table.

It's a nice attention to detail to notice my drink is low. It's an automatic 25% tip minimum.

When you’ve got a rushed morning and you don’t shower so you wear a baseball hat and people are like “oh hey are you excited about opening day?” and you say “yeah!”

Being a regular at a restaurant or bar and the servers, management, bartenders know what drink I want without asking

Watching my third grade granddaughter's robotics team in action. Bunch of smart little shits.

Seeing an angry snowstorm pop over the Front Range of the Rockies and knowing that I've got no place that I need to be, a pot of chili (no beans), and a great book to finish.

When someone else scratches your nuts

That so many people think only the line labelled unlimited at the car wash can be used with the unlimited pass. Leaves the other lines shorter for me.

seeing a 4-5 year old( no pedo!)in his spiderman mask and superman cape while walking with momma to pick up older sibling from school.

In the same vein as  hearing a young child laughing their ass off.

Salve for the soul...

Getting my iced tea refilled at a restaurant when it was only half empty.
Only if I have extra lemons on the table.

Timing the gas pump so it comes out to $__.99.  It's great if I cut it off right on .99.  Sometimes I get to .98 then fuck up and pass .99 to .00 or higher.  In which case I move to the next chance up.  Hey it gives me something to do, and I rarely fill up because I want to use up gas more quickly to keep it fresher.

(I have another good reason for doing this .99 thing, actually, security involved)

Ratchet belt. Old school buckles from the dark ages---never again.

Getting up early when the family sleeps in. It’s like you got the whole world to yourself

a hot shower... but not just any hot shower (all showers, except golden, are great), but the one in particular is the 5-6ish PM Saturday afternoon shower after a few hours of hard work outside sweating your ass off getting ready for a night out on the town knowing you're get some action at night's end. And yes, a shower beer is included in this. That's the good stuff.
