aggy will always have their preseason #1 ranking. They should have room in their Hall of Champions for it.

How could they fit it in there with their accolades from all the other wins in games they never played?

Why should the post-season ranking mean more than the pre-season one? Aggy will probably declare themselves the co-champs.

Oh FFS. Guys in their mid 30s play 162 games a year. 20 year olds can play a few games.

This whole "playing sports is SCARY" shit is tiresome. I get it in football but come on. College players are not this fragile.

Nobody is saying our healthy guys should rest. We have multiple guys banged up that could take it easy. I’d argue MB shouldn’t as he could use the live bats.

Also most MLB players in their 30's hit the IL more than once in a season. Not a big deal when you have a farm system that can replace the guy and you have 100 games left to go. A little different when your backup is a freshman kid with barely any PT and the playoffs are starting in 2 weeks.

No they don't. Ages of players to play 162 in a season during the the last 5 162 game seasons (2019 instead of 2020 because COVID)

22, 24, 27, 28, 28, 28, 28, 29, 29, 29, 30, 30, 30, 31, 32, 32, 32

So out of something like 3500 player-seasons the last 5 have seen zero guys in their mid-30s play every game.

Can't catch a break this year injury wise. Sully is burning redshirts.

I know the infielder who got his fingernail ripped off yesterday might play because they glued it back on.

big fun

2-0 Gata top of third.

I feel bad about blowing a red shirt year of a player this late in the season, but damn did we need a catcher

furk. 2-2

Vandy probably going to be the #2 National Seed. They deserve it at the very least in my opinion. 18–11 in the SEC, having not gotten to play Missouri or South Carolina, is very impressive

Gata got behind 9 to 2 and scored four in the 9th in a losing effort, but I was happy to see them score four runs in the ninth just the same. I like our Galaxy Quest mindset: never give up, never surrender!    Mental attitude is key in the tournament, and I like how we shrugged off yet another seemingly devastating injury - at least not folding when way behind and having the ability to keep on fighting.

Of the teams that are now 16-13 in conference, Auburn at 6 is ahead of 17-12 Georgia in whichever rankings that graphic uses, and Mississippi is unranked despite having an identical (for a few hours anyway) record as its opponent Auburn, and a better record than 23 Florida.

rank voters have no idea how to parse the sec since everyone is beating everyone else.

Some are saying the Ags had nothing left to play for after losing to Mizzou, but that win yesterday was pretty important. It probably keeps them above .500 for the season. They were in danger of a 27-27 finish if they'd been swept by UGA then lost their first game in Hoover.

Clayton Freshcorn from Waller now pitching.  Too perfect...

And a 2-run single on his 1st pitch.  7-4 UGa B7

aggy gets a Kent HR in 9th, but loses 7-5.  Jace L.goes 0-10 with 9 K on the weekend.

Lavoilette hitting in the .260s and Prager with an ERA around 4.50.  Not the type of seasons you’d expect from a couple “leaders” who held the AD hostage to hire their buddy.

They even won on the road - I hear that's almost impossible.

Are there 16 teams you would slot ahead of them?

Big 12 is only going to get their champ and that’s it I would have to think

A Saban-coached football team would host a baseball regional.

I’ve never been so happy to be 15 and 15 in SEC play in my life.

This was like the Aggy roller coaster - but in reverse.

Unless they turn it on in the tournament, you have to figure Kentucky, A&M, South Carolina, and Missouri are done. But with all the SEC cock sucking...we will see.

Making the CCG in football year 1 was awesome, but I am maybe even more excited that we walked in and slapped our big johnson down on the table in baseball.

Let's make a run in the tourney and book session #39 of The University of Texas @ Omaha.

It took us all the way until our first year in the SEC to end with a better conference record (22-8) than any Texas A&M baseball team has since they joined the SEC a dozen years ago (best: 20-10 in 2016).
