That wraps up the weekend in the SEC.

Texas and Pig tied at the top 11-1.

Arkansas plays in Athens next weekend. Curious to see how that series goes. Hopefully UGA wins 2 out of 3.

marquee /mär-kē′/

  1. A large tent, often with open sides, used chiefly for outdoor entertainment.
  2. A rooflike structure, often bearing a signboard, projecting over an entrance, as to a theater or hotel.
  3. A large field tent; esp., one adapted to the use of an officer of high rank.

First, don't ever compare Texas to those flea bags again.  Second, I have no idea what you meant by it.

Third, To Hell With Georgia.

Great, you have pasted the noun definition.  Now do the adjective.

Blow Your Mind Wow GIF by Product Hunt

Florida (21-14, 1-11) gets a much needed Q1 win tonight over #9 FSU (25-7), 5-4. Have A LOT of work to do in SEC play still for a shot at the postseason.

#19 OU Sucks (23-9, 5-7) loses for the second time this season to DBU (21-11), 9-1 (lost 11-0 in the first tilt). Seems like DBU beats OSU and OU on the regular when they play.

Edited by MuellerHorn

The other interesting score of the night in the SEC is our next opponent Kentucky.

They scored in the top of the tenth to take the lead 3-2 on the road at #16 Louisville.

We remember Louisville from the opening day loss to them.

Louisville walks it off with two runs in the bottom of the tenth to win 4-3.

So, no big momentum for the Wildcats heading into the series with Texas.

going to be a brutal weather weekend in Lexington, though probably not too different from last weekend in ATX.  We'll be lucky to get three 9 Inning games in.

Spring has been brutal across the SEC states for baseball and softball. Delays, DHs, postponements

DBU is not a team to fuck around with, hell half the small colleges in Texas are not teams fuck around with.

Yeah, this coach has taken them to 13 regionals and 2 super regionals in his 18 years on the job.  They're solid.

Missouri with a win!  Over a satellite campus of a directional school.

Why on earth were they playing a game in Edwardsville, Illinois? Even on the tenuous grounds of wanting to play near their St. Louis alums it's really not that convenient.

Oh, for sure. I’m well acquainted with how good that program is under Heefner. I just think it’s funny that they’re OU’s and OSU’s kryptonite. Another year, same story. They finish the regular season a combined 3-0 against the two.

TXST beat Baylor last night too

Midweek road game kings!  OKST (neutral site), Texas (in Austin), aggy (in CS), Baylor (in Waco)

25% of their wins are midweek wins away from home against P4 opponents lol

anyone posting on this thread knows so I wasn't insinuating you didn't know. and to NL's point, exactly. mid week games against Texas directional schools are often times not a walk in the park.

TXSt sucks. But they are still a D1 Baseball team. You are going to be bringing your Tuesday night pitchers so unless you show up to play and score runs you can lose. Just the same if you are playing UTSA, UTA, or Houston Christian or anybody else.

We just haven't gotten it done with the bats on Tuesday night at times. It's no big deal though. Two losses on Tuesday won't matter much when you are beating good teams on the weekend.

Dan Heefner has been the head coach at DBU for 18 years now.

He is a very good coach and usually does more with less, for success.

I have bad memories of a Regional they hosted that Texas went to in 2015.

Heefner is nearly always a name that pops up when a head coaching job at a bigger school becomes vacant.

So far, he keeps staying put because he likes where he is and what he has there.

From what many have claimed over the years, he's got a deep fundamentalist streak to him that would not play at a state school.

Nor many of the church-tied schools.

So, why move?

The Baylor job would be an ideal fit….

But Baylor sucks and is full of hypocrites.

I applaud a man who stands on his principles and can forgo the amount of money he has… even if I don’t subscribe to his belief system and he not fiddling kids.
Heavy emphasis on the later.

Absolutely pointless to play these types of games against SWAC schools. You don't learn anything about yourself and it only drags down your RPI and SOS.

That alcorn pitcher was throwing 73 mph fastballs with a 65 mph curveball with no control. I actually felt bad and didn’t watch another batter after that. Was kinda mad at ole miss for playing that game

Mizzou came into tonight with an 8.80 era in league play.  They've already given up 6 to Florida in the 1st inning.

Poooor aggy.  LaViolet just popped a ball to the teack out of his glove and out for a HR.

The stylings of Lowell Galindo on the play by play for this Aggy game on ESPNU.

South Carolina 2-10 in SEC play vs 3-9 Aggy at Collie.

USC leads 3-1 in the bottom of the third, but the pitching has been shaky for both sides.

I don’t think LaViolette has enough eye black

pitcher convinces him to leave him in the game.
