No it wasn’t. There are farmers that were better options than the rich boys trotted out

If the rich boys were still dominating, then the Ivy League would have dominated the 1950s. They didn't. This is nonsense.

Wow. You'd think it would've been done sooner than now. But here we are.

Congrats, X!

We don’t really have many successful former players in the pros. It’s not that surprising.

I mean, it's more that... the ones who do are often on shit-ass teams.

I could be wrong, but I still think the ‘69 Jets w/Namath had the most Longhorns on a roster to win a SB in one year. Elliott, Hudson, Lammons, and Sauer. Been close before, but never tied or broken.

Tonight was Chiefs = 2 and Eagles = 1, with Ojomo getting the ring. Congrats #97!

Hook’em!!!

I also appreciated he didn’t pull a Johnny Jolly and celebrate. He just ran back to the sideline since they were kicking their heads kicked in.

Jamaal is pre 2010. There's your hand.

Bo Scaife.

I think we can get to 10 easily.

I dunno about you but I can count to 10 with 5 fingers

I believe the first Bama player to score a TD in a Super Bowl also happened tonight. Could be wrong.

It’s apparently true.  Bama QBs have thrown TDs but the receiver gets credit.

i think i would have to count qb throws.

No. The NFL is actually going to rescind all of his stats from this game.

I have great offensive Horns that you haven't even heard of.

You are correct as far as I know, going back to Starr, Namath, Stabler, and etc. All have thrown TD passes, but not a TD on the ground themselves.

The touchdown also made NFL and Alabama history. Smith became the first player drafted from Alabama to score a touchdown in a Super Bowl.

No it isn’t. College football was for the connected and rich. No freshman and no minorities widespread until the 70s. Everyone knows this and bringing it up in an Xavier Worthy thread is bad form.

Rich is not smart and connected. Just one part

Jalen Hurts scored 3 two years ago, that was the first.

Texas alum catching up to TTU alum in the Superbowl.  Lets go!

Great but fucking unbelievably embarrassing at the same time. 59 fucking Super Bowls for a Longhorrn to score a TD  good lord

Ricky Sanders' record lasted a whole year, yet has never been equaled since.

Seems just like yesterday to me.

Earning a Super Bowl ring before you turn 18 is damn impressive.

I hope X’s agent is smart enough to get him a better contract.

I don't get it. Isn't Ojomo in his 20s? Unless he was 14 or something when he played at Texas.

Yes, but he did start at UT at 16, which is not something I was aware of until yesterday.

Apparently according to the Bean Counters, since he finished up at Oklahoma, he doesn't count for Alabama.

“Drafted from” Alabama, not played at

Crazy that the best superbowl performance by a WR in 25 years was for the losing team in an absolute blowout.

Surely you're aware of the running joke about Ojomo being young.

More than I could have hope for:

Worthy had a great game.

Chiefs lose.

13 hours ago, Captain Ron said:

Does it really count with both were garbage time TDs?

It doesn’t. In fact, the NFL will delete his stats from the official records.

Stupid comment. Xavier was still busting his ass when the game was out of reach. Not his fault Andy Reid called a shit game.

I got it once @TwiceHorn filled me in. I figured it was a joke of some kind.

Mr Falcon played for a new team.  Not a great recipe for career success.
