February 13Feb 13 The original is one of my favorite movies of all time. I would not be disappointed in a franchise.
February 13Feb 13 I’m in. The Waylon Jennings t-shirt is just icing in the cake. With James Gunn moving from the MCU to taking over the DCU, glad to see we are getting a Punisher and Batman crossover. Edited February 13Feb 13 by atomheartbevo

February 13Feb 13 sounds like a lot of you enjoyed the first one. i've only seen a few minutes of the first movie. in one scene, affleck had an accent. in another scene, he did not have an accent. i thought this trailer might clear up the mystery, but it did not. were there some scenes in the first movie where he faked an accent?

Hmm...don't remember the accent variance, I just know the character has severe OCD. Maybe that's it.

February 14Feb 14 In, I really liked the first one but need to rewatch. I don't think I've seen it since it came out. No Anna Kendrick in the new one?

February 14Feb 14 In. The first one surprised me -- I did not expect much given the premise, and it was better than I expected. That means I'll have higher expectations for this one. Hope that doesn't fuck up the viewing experience for me.

Hey Mr. Michael Chekhov you must not be familiar with the actorship stylings of one Mr. Ben Affleck

We watched the movie last night and I mentioned to the misses that it might be his best role because he didn't have a tremendous amount of dialog and none of it had any emotion (by design, not by terrible acting).
February 14Feb 14 Hate to admit really liking an Affleck film, but I was mostly all-in on the first one. Well crafted script, decent cast, above average Affleck. This one looks even better.
May 4May 4 I saw this yesterday. I thought it was utterly ridiculous but still somewhat entertaining. Autist Affleck speed dating and line dancing and the army of kid hackers were all really out there. Bernthal was barely in the first one but pretty good here. Brining back J.K. Simmons's boring no-personality assistant and having her carry like half the screen time was a weird choice.
May 5May 5 saw it this weekend. you might be tempted to go see it based on the strength of the first one, and the fact that you know a bunch of dudes are going to get wasted in the movie. save yourself the time and money. "utterly ridiculous" as commented above is probably a big understatement. its pretty bad.

Entertaining enough, especially for a $5 matinee.
May 10May 10 This seemed like a “straight to Amazon Prime” movie that they decided deserved a theatrical release last minute. The things I liked about Ben Affleck’s character in the first one is really nowhere to be found here. So many plot holes. I have AMC A-List so i don’t require that much to get my moneys worth - so based on that I was entertained enough I guess.
June 7Jun 7 Did Affleck add a regard lisp in the sequel? Haha, holy shit I think he did. No notes Ben. Bernthal is great because he’s great in everything. The Copperhead Road scene was great. Something tells me Steve Earle didn’t foresee that song becoming the most popular line dancing song of all time when he wrote it.
June 7Jun 7 I had fun watching this, but mostly I was curious to see Affleck portraying someone on the spectrum since I am on it. I never saw the first one as that was a time in life where I did not watch many movies, but I enjoyed this one. I saw some of the same things I deal with on a daily basis so I found it interesting overall.
June 7Jun 7 The first one might be even more appealing to you. I would find it interesting if you watch it and enjoy the "prequel" aspects, as it most definitely had material that plays in the 2nd one.

The part of not having a relationship with his brother hit home with me, but for different reasons. I will go check out the first one though.

June 8Jun 8 I went back and re-watched the 1st one yesterday before watching 2 this afternoon. The 1st one was excellent, the 2nd, meh. I was entertained but not like I was with the 1st one.
June 8Jun 8 I was rooting for the female assassin to brutally murder the cadre of savant hacker nerds. Bernthal was the only shining light in this predictable turd. Glad i didnt pay to see it.

I saw some things already in the first one that I manage in my life that Affleck’s character does as well. I’m excited to watch more when I get home tonight from the beach.
June 9Jun 9 Watched this weekend with my son back from college - halfway through he was like, was the first one this bad? How did they make another one? It was hella-bad, and this type of movie is my jam for a restful weekend with not much else to do.
June 9Jun 9 I saw #2 at the theater, mostly because wife had free tix. I thought it was about a 4 out of 10. I enjoyed #1 and have rewatched it more than once. I thought it was about a 6.5 or 7 out of 10.
June 9Jun 9 I guess they didn't pay Ben enough to be bothered to re-watch the first movie to remember his character.
June 9Jun 9 Also, the special needs facility transforming from one non-verbal girl with a nice computer to the CIA war room with no one asking any questions was particularly humorous.
