Yes. Probably not from this though.

Nope, I was there in 2022 for January and February and it was stupid cold with snow but I had a good time. Great city

Lmao, it's not that bad just wear layers!!

Drink heavily on the plane to get the liquor jacket for your first layer

Depends where you're going.  You could spend a month downtown and literally never step outside.

I have been here all week and going back to Houston tomorrow. Think it was -10 or some shit today. Good luck.

I think that’s where we’re having dinner Monday night.

Totes. Spent my whole life in Texas and AZ.

There’s no such thing as bad weather. Only bad clothing.

Just bring a Temu windbreaker.  You’ll be fine.

Never been but I understand a lot of their parking is underground.  If you don’t have a real winter coat, I’d hit up a thrift store and buy one for the trip.

keep your hands, feet, and head warm with gloves, thick socks, and hats.

lastly, and most importantly,

Including my son, who hasn't worn a jacket, besides when skiing, all winter.

Find you a big fat corn fed Midwestern woman to keep you warm at night. Just make sure she's been properly dipped and wormed.

Can I Venmo you a $100 bucks to go piss on Best Buy HQ for me?

I had to go to St. Cloud on a business trip about 15 years ago in February. Didn't bother to look at the weather. It was 80 in Austin when I left so I was wearing shorts and a tshirt. I got to the hotel and it was about 10 degrees and snowing. Everyone was looking at me as if I was from outer space.

I see what you did there.

@tbone_ there's a show at First Avenue (7th St Entry) Monday night if you end up with some free time.  Iconic club.  Like, CBGB or Whiskey level iconic.

I keep avoiding going to MN this winter. So far, so good.

Going to Ft Collins Tuesday night. Yikes.

Oh man. Be gentle @ISU Fan.

Oops. I meant @Al_4_ISU

Anyway, I feel like tbone's only goal next week is to get back out with his balls intact, but there is a lengthy thread on Twin Cities recs.

I was in Mankato in November and it was awesome( the weather.)

Going to St Paul in about 10 days and that shit is gonna suck.

I spent 18 winters there.  This is my second winter since moving back to the land of the sane and I still love getting texts from friends that are still there telling me the temps- temps that I will never have to experience again.

Just stay indoors, don't do anything stupid like go for a walk, and get out of there as soon as you can.  Also mainline vitamin D if you're staying for a while.

No, but have been on the Chukchi, Norwegian, and Barents.  I would not get in them, though.

It’s not so bad without the wind.

Classic. Just like Arizonans saying “but it’s a dry heat!”

When it’s -30F it’s freaking cold, I don’t care about the wind. When it’s +120F, it’s freaking hot, I don’t care about the humidity!

But honestly, 0 with no wind is better than 30 and blustery, just like a dry 100 is more comfortable than a humid 85.

1234.

Y'all pussies would have loved Minnesota in the '70s. Riding in the station wagon on vinyl seats that warmed up around June, inhaling the second-hand smoke from the folks' heaters, and the closest thing to tech clothing was corduroy pants & some itchy wool sweater Gramma knit for you for Christmas.
