I think they are staying in town because they play Texas State on Tuesday at Globe Life

Good opening weekend, even with Friday’s loss

Reminds me of those days when Texas would play like ten straight doubleheaders in a row during Spring Break.

Gus would bring over basketball players that pitched in high school to start games.

Some team like Emporia State would score five runs in the top of the first and their fans would go wild, and we just laughed at them.

Texas would still win by ten runs and if Gus felt like it, he would bring in Swindell as a closer.

Would like to see Max Grubbs start next Sunday, not an indictment on Bing as he will have better days but I feel like Grubbs earned a weekend spot after last year

All in all a great weekend

After a tough start, Texas is now Champion of the Shriners.

A fez hat for everybody.

You could have slept for a few innings, after the seven-run inning.

Wake up and be right back up to speed in no time.

Not sure how that happened considering Louisville also finished 2-1 and they have the head to head over us, but "Shriners tournament champion" really don't make a shit anyways. Bottom line is we're 2-1 heading into a mid week game against UH at the Disch.

If Vic was the boss she would be in the booth, without any questions.

They said run differential and no it doesn't.

The OSU win will definitely be Quad 1 at the end of the year and I’m pretty sure Ole Miss will be too considering even the bad SEC teams have respectable RPI’s and this was a neutral site win.

Never too early to start paying attention to that stuff.

Being "Shriners Champion" does however sure beat what has gone on in the past for Texas at Globe Life Field.

just got home

what a great weekend. some damn good teams. this texas team is talented. sec is going to be damn fun

i hope texas keeps up the dallas / houston rotation. see some of yall next year in houston (hopefully)

was there an all tournament team ?

We've had teams that struggled in opening series go on to be good, so not going to get too excited yet about (very encouraging) results.

I am excited however about the talent I saw on the field. Whether we end up in Omaha or not, who knows, but I do think we're talented enough to make a run at it. And that is exciting.

I'll bet that Louisville outperforms their expectations this season as well.

it's actually more apropos for who I am, especially the long legs, glass of wine, and even including the propensity to wear a cape (or at least want to wear one).

Wrong sport there. It’s not basketball.
